Please help with re-direct/virus problem.

Hello,

I am a newbie to this forum. I joined in the beginning of November. I have a problem when I am on this site. Usually, when I click on the sub forum that I wish to visit for the first time for the day, I am redirected somewhere else. An example is what happened today; I was re-directed to:

Colleges . campuscorner DOT //index.jsp?premiumlogic=y&lcTheme=CC&slideout=Y&sup presswp=v1&CCID=20180155203821654&QTR=ZZf201105061 630310Za20180155Zg172Zw47Zm623Zc203821654Zs3086ZZ& CLK=663111201042605020&ac=003&ai=D878A5FA1B6BEB1EA AE1C5216F806F2D5820E8CD&kw=colleges+in+hillsdale&s rc=935344&camp=Geo_Colleges&&WT.srch=1

Usually I just hit the back button or close the window and reopen another. Last night I was re-directed to a site, and my Microsoft Security Essentials alerted me to a problem. I clicked the button to fix the problem. (I also have Malwarebytes and SUPER AntiSpyware). Long story short, I got a virus last night. I was finally able to get rid of it by starting my computer in Safe mode and running the above mentioned programs.

I still have a problem because although I got rid of the virus that was causing serious problems last night, I am still being re-directed.

Help,
Frank

    Haven't heard anyone else complaining about this, so it's most likely an infection on your own computer doing this. Scan your machine with a virus and malware scanner and see what pops up.

      You are probably right... but this is the only site that re-directs me anywhere. Anyone have a solution besides the 3 virus programs I am using?

      Thanks

        You know I also had this problem with my Iphone quite often and only with WF. Not really sure what it is but it happens every so often.

    If you are not able to find an answer, head over to Bleeping Computer and request one of their experts to run you through some tests. If they see something they will help you clean your machine.
