To all new marketers and those curious about the war room, please read!
Hello new prospective marketers, I'm sure all of what you have been reading on these forums can be very confusing and even difficult to determine which path you will take in an attempt to make money online. I hope that I can clear some of the confusion.
Making Money Online
There are many different ways to make money online, here is some examples.
Article Marketing or Bum Marketing (Writing articles promoting products)
Blogging (Writing about topics, promoting products, sell advertising, or Adsense)
Affiliate Marketing (Selling other peoples products for commissions)
List Building (Building an E-mail list to promote products to sell)
Product Creation (Creating your own product to sell online)
Selling Services Online (Article writing, SEO, social media, graphics, etc)
Membership sites (Private sites with unique updated content)
Offline Consulting (Helping local businesses with their online presence)
There are several other methods or unique twists to the ones I've listed. Each one can be daunting in itself on where to begin and what is the correct method to use. We all don't want to waste time and end up failing at something so we look up to experts who have achieved success.
War Room
The War Room is a private section of the forum that offers all kinds of goodies that are normally items that you would have to pay for else where. It is a huge resource and is highly recommend to join. It's a one time payment for life, so it is highly worth getting into. Users post new content all the time for free and there is no catches or extra gimmicks to worry about. When I first joined I spent an entire weekend reading everything I could, I felt like a kid in a candy shop.
If you are like most new warriors you are not in the mood to spend any money and that's understandable. There is an alternative and in my opinion you may not even need the War Room with the information that is already available.
Forum Ratings
This is the alternative to the War Room, look up the highest rated posts in each section of the forum, I highly recommend browsing through the Main Marketing section and the Adsense / PPC / SEO Discussion Forum. Just click on "Rating" on the top right middle of the forum and it will organize the highest rated forum posts first.
Have a field day reading these, some of the best working methods to make money online are right here for free on these forums.
There are some great case studies available, even if they are 2 to 3 years old, they still apply today. I have actually found material in these posts that are better than some of the information available in the War Room. This is a great place to get started and see real methods that are proven to work. Some times the easiest way to make money is to get down to the basics.
WSO (Warrior Special Offers)
For now, just stay away from this section of the forum. This section is where fellow warriors sell guides and other services, some are great and some are meh. When you start making money then I would advise taking a look here and investing in a system that comes highly recommended. There are some really great WSO's out there but it's not worth it in the beginning. All the information you need is available for free right here on these forums. Why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for free? :rolleyes:
It's a Scary IM World
Just remember, ask questions, a lot of questions. If you read one of these high rated guides or case studies and don't understand something just ask! Post in the Main discussion area what you read and what you don't understand. The members here are really nice and more than happy to help. When I started out I asked all kinds of questions, I may have felt like an idiot but I always got help and the members never made me feel like I was an idiot, just a newbie.
