War Room - List Building

Is there a lot of information, guides, and tips on list building in The War Room?

Also, do you guys thinks it's a good idea to use list building as a main source of income? Without being successful in Affiliate Marketing, CPA, or anything like that?

A simple search would reveal to you dozens of threads with this topic, covering all of the answers you need.

I've searched already. I haven't found any threads that talk about whether or not the war room has a lot of list building content. Thanks for your input though. By the way, why not just answer my question? I can't stand when people do that.

I think you should be thankful for the help he was trying to give you...

A simple search would have been my suggestions too, that's usually the best way to go

Unless you are not a member of the war room and wondering if it contains list building information. In which case the answer is yes, but not likely many people are just going to send you links as that would require them searching for them as well.

There is a lot of Gold in the War Room! Anyone not a member already I would surely recommend it!

Thankful? I do appreciate the bump but I have already tried the search feature, that wasn't any help to me. What would have been helpful, even if I haven't tried the search feature, would be to do what you did. To let me know to use the search feature next time, and simply answer my question.

Yes, I'm not a member of the war room. That's why I'm asking this question, I was thinking about joining. I don't expect anybody to send me links, that's not what I asked for. Thanks for your recommendation! Also, thanks for answering my question.

i am pretty sure he was meaning to search for "list building" in general, not your specific question about list building stuff in the war room. he meant there is a ton of advice on list building on WF without being in the war room

there are several reports on list building in the war room, but list building is such a wide topic that i have no idea if you will find any of that stuff useful.

i am not trying to be rude, but what you are really asking is "will you find useful information on list building in the war room" and you have not given nearly enough info about you and what you need advice on for us to answer that properly.

Yeah, I understand. I was just a little upset about that comment. I can't stand when people tell me to use the search button, because most of the time I do that beforehand. Why not just help out and answer the question along with "You should use the search button next time. " or something like that? Even if he was talking about the other question, I'm asking what YOU GUYS, think about that, the people in this day in time. Internet Marketing changes every day, what worked yesterday may not work tomorrow, using the search feature and looking at a thread from last year may not give me the same answers that I would get today.

Some folks just think they are the internet police. Take it with a grain of salt. I am a War Room member and find it to be of very little value. However, if the $39 (or whatever it is these days) isn't going to break you, why not?

Personally, I find the main forums far more valuable than the War Room.

There's lots of things to spend money on related to Internet Marketing. The question is: How committed are you to building an IM business? Or at least creating a residual income stream of any amount from the internet.

If you are just searching around, then I'd recommend googling free plr and just acquiring a lot of reports and pdf for free. Also you can search for YouTube content. There lots of videos people offer on YouTube for free that relate to beginner topics.

But...if you're serious about an IM business, then YES, join the WarRoom, and login every few days. Devour as much content there as you can. Save reports into categories on your harddrive. Build your toolchest of information and knowhow. It takes time to learn anything. So join the WarRoom, stay consistent. Learn a variety of topics. Try different techniques. Then focus on the stuff you like.

Hope that helps. Just sharing my own experience here.

            Good luck friend!

i have been at this for over 15 years. things have not changed nearly as much as you would think.

there are a lot of fads from time to time, but list building has not changed much. offer something for free via a squeeze page. the higher the perceived value of your freebie offer the better. use aweber.com to manage your list.

that is pretty much the formula for the last 15 years except that aweber was not around for the first few.

I have loved the War Room! There is a lot of great stuff in there. List building is definitely the way to go. I will probably be releasing a "Mini-Guide about List Building" just for the War Room early next week. Stay Tuned!

I think list building is an ideal core business model to adopt when begining.

You can learn to generate traffic, write copy and develope a relationship with your customer without being overwhelmed. All the while you will be building an asset that you can then use to expand as your experience grows.

Thank you for all of your replies! I've actually bought a membership for the War Room and I've taken a look around. Like Wolf said above, I actually find the main forums a lot more helpful. Maybe that's because I would still consider myself a newbie despite the time that I've put in, I would call myself a newbie because of the profit that I've made. Maybe this will all change in the future and I will actually be able to find use in the War Room.

As far as should I pursue list building as my main business model, I've gotten mixed answers from you guys so I'm still unsure about this. The only reason that I am considering this, is because I need motivation to keep going. In Affiliate Marketing and other categories of IM, Money = Motivation. So it would take while for me to get that "kick" that I need. While in List Building, Subscribers = Motivation, I can get that starting from Day 1. I like to see progression, If I don't see progression, I give up VERY easily because I start believing that it's not worth it. This is why I am considering ONLY pursuing list building alone.

Please, more comments are definitely appreciated!

List building alone is not a business model or a strategy. It's simply part of the business process.
On it's own it does not make any money.

You can use the list to facilitate all the other stuff you mentioned that make up the "cash making" parts. i.e. affiliate sales, own product sales or cpa etc.

List building (IMO) is an essential part of the business model as it allows you to make the rest of it work.

So yes, focus on list building and yes you can easily see growth and so will help keep momentum but at some point you will want to be making money.

Therefore it is crucial that you do not just build your list but "cultivate" your list. That means feeding great information to your subscribers - making them love your content and eventually you. You need to do this from the start. A month down the line it will be too late and no-one will remember you and will be un-subscribing faster than a speeding bullet at your first email.

Build your email series and freebies/info/affiliate sales etc. before you even start your list. Have this in place from day 1 so that every subscriber gets looked after.

All this information can be found both in the main forum and the war room. It just gets a little difficult to find it all in any logical manner. There is so much of it and most of it doesn't have related titles because of the "clever" and "enticing" headlines that so many people use. But that's another story....
