Everytime I Open Warrior Forum I Feel Overwhelmed

There are so many things you CAN do when it comes to SEO and Online Marketing...etc. I just get total information overload. Another rabbit trail to go down and figure out if this will cost me money, time or both.

Bleh.

Perhaps it is because I am surrounded by such absolute genius on every side.
I am almost scared to buy a Warrior Membership. Cause I will not have time to absorb all the information.

I already work on this stuff 16 - 18 hours a day.
Any suggestions?

What do you do with Information Overload?

Make a checklist of the things you need to know and only seek posts about those things. Stop feeling the need to see what everybody else is doing.

It all starts with a plan.

Well said. You need to have a plan in everything you do, including browsing this forum. Jumping from one thing to another without completing anything is one of the main reasons people fail in this business.

Pick one or two things. Then search for information on threads about those subjects instead of trying to learn everything at once.

Take action on something. You'll learn more from doing than reading. (I say this as compulsive reader.)

Don't invest much money at first, though.

You must start off with just one or two things and after you master those, then move on to something else. There is no point in learning a little bit of everything if you can't get good enough to make money at 1 single thing.

Dump some of the info. Narrow down your interests and focus on that. I'd say to start off, pick one way of making money online that interests you the most and learn everything you can about that one method. You can't really be successful if you just put a small amount of effort into a lot of different things.

I would say, first choose an area that you are interested in. Affiliate marketing, ppc, cpa? Etc. Then only go into that. However i must say that i have learnt the most from courses that i have bought as this is an all in one package. It will provide you a better and clearer overview of everything and could help you with step by step methods.

Spend less time on here and more time on your sites. You already know more than enough, and the rest you will learn.

Forums are great for getting started, but can also be a big distraction because they make you feel like you are missing something that everyone else knows - and you're probably not.

Mikeevee....Yes yes...definitely a distraction! Like I am missing something. Like I need to start doing something else different. That is exactly how I feel...and then this feeling ...this terrible feeling of out of control (no possible way I could ever learn all this...how in the world do these people do this successfully and not go insane ...kind of feeling) starts to well up from the depths of my soul...and then I know I need to take a break...for awhile. SO I can collect my thoughts.

You know what's strange? I come here when I am depressed, or desperate to learn something and I end up kicking it up a notch straight into anxiety...but I know there are alot of people here who understand what's going on in this world...
This is truly the best forum for Online Marketing in the whole world...thanks to peeps like you all.
I am glad I am not alone in the insanity.
But we are a special breed I think...if not OCD or ADD Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or Attention Deficit Disorder...then we are at least special to say the least...to even want to learn this stuff. But I digress...

Thanks for putting it into words for me. I think you are right...I am probably not missing something...I just need to focus more on one thing as most of these people have said.

Although that is pretty tough to do. In a way I have already been through this process.
      I went from
      Building a WordPress Site...then 5 of them
Then to Content Creation and Blog Configurations with WordPress
Then to KeyWord Analysis (Love Market Samurai...seriously)
To OnPage SEO for Organic Search Results using WordPress SEO Plugins
Then Article Marketing - using tools.
Then spinning articles...(uhm hate that crap...anyone else?)
Then Directory Submitters - using tools. The free ones of course. Cause I am broke.
Then Manual Backlinking (what a pain in the rear)
Then Semi-Automated Backlinking (using tools that help you with captchas...etc)
Then Almost Fully Automated Backlinking (No Hands SEO... u should check that out...free trial)
Now I realize it is still not enough...to get the desired results.
I wanted to do it ALL MYSELF! But that is not totally possible.

I have made some money...pulled in over 1000.00 dollars in commissions last month. But I am honestly stuck on getting good at probably the hardest thing there is to get good at...Ranking Number One in Google for my keyword niche. It's driving me crazy.

I recently got to the point where I started using SEO Spyglass to see what everyone else on my niche is doing...and now I am seeing that unless I have some money to dish out I can not do the same thing as most of my top competitors.

How much do you all spend on backlink services to really get the ranking in Google? I am ready now to spend the money. Just not sure if I have enough.

I am too the point where I realize I can not (at this time) build a huge link wheel, with legitimate looking sites specifically for the purpose of putting links on those sites to give me HIGH PR backlinks...

I am realizing that despite what I know it still takes lots of time to build a HIGH PR network...(even one HIGH PR website for that matter).

So does anyone have any GREAT recommendations for HIGH PR backlink services that embed backlinks on existing websites in the blogroll, navigation, in the body of an article...etc. This is what I have seen. This is what my competitors are doing..and I want to smoke them.

If I can manage this...then I think there is a lot of money to be made. Thanks for all your comments. I am much encouraged!

Try learning organic search engine optimization first, it plays a part in a lot of other areas so it may be beneficial to learn it first. It was for me!

Set yourself a goal plan...write it and paste it on your computer screen!!!

Look at it whenever you think you are not focusing...you must stick to it and focus on your goals..else you will get nothing in the end

      My suggestion:

Pick a seasonal niche that's at least 3 months away to give yourself plenty of time with no pressure to get instant results now. Have a plan (yes, there are many gurus with many templates and systems...find one that makes sense and stick with it). If you can do what you're doing, by that seasons time you'll be ready to pounce.

Focus on one method of making money online. Make a plan of everything you are going to do. Get as detailed as possible. Once you think you have a real plan that you can implement in real time, create your first to-do list and get started.

Don't look back. Only come to the forum when you don't know how to do something or when you don't know what to do next.

You are actually slowing yourself down by trying to constantly learn things that you may or may not use.

I think this is one of the reasons you start to notice some people only hang out on 1 WF section, for instance, I spend 90% of my time in the SEO / Adsense area :]

Anyhow, I am not that experienced or good at IM yet but the one thing I would recommend is to keep building sites - sites take a while to start "working" in my experience so if you sit around waiting for results it will be a long time before moving on to the next project.

    Information overload for sure.

You eventually start picking out names of people you like and sort of follow their posts. At least that's what I've ended up doing.

Select a niche of your particular interest and seek information regarding that niche.
Don't jump in to another niche till you master a particular niche.so always search for those threads which are concerned to your niche.

Focusing your efforts is the best advice given on this thread. I would add realizing you've got a loooooong way to go. Real success (not that "fake, instant, guaranteed" crap) takes YEARS to earn and keep. So think 5 years from now at the least, and then (re)think what's really important to you.
