Wordpress DDoS attack!!

One of my wordpress sites is under DDos attack for the last few days.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to stop it. This site seems to be
a target for this. It has been hacked twice this year and been under DDos.
My hosting company is not happy about this and I would like suggestions on what to do to stop these attacks.

What can I do?

    Tell your web hosting company that it is their responsibility to ensure their servers have the proper security systems in place to help prevent this. If it is an attack on your website only, increase your bandwidth, sign up for a few unlimited hosting account plans across a few major web hosting companies and have your website alternate between the different hosting accounts on a daily basis. This decreases the amount of bandwidth usage on each web hosting provider and hopefully discourages who ever is attaching you.

    I am not a computer engineer or a server security technician. Hopefully someone else with more experience will pitch in.

    I'm not really technical either. Can you find out the ip address, or range of addresses that these attacks are coming from? If so you can ban those ip addresses from cpanel. I do that regularly.

      that attach came from more than 12000 sites. My hosting company picked it up on the 2nd day and closed my account. It has stopped for now but I think they will try again. I just want to do whatever I can before I am forced to shut down he site.

      Any ideas on what I can do?
