Need More Traffic - Trying Everything!!

Hi Guys,
I am very new to this Internet marketing stuff and have developed my first product and set-up a website etc, I am getting Traffic but it seems to be coming in very slowly although I am doing everything I am supposed to do....Article Marketing, Social Media, Ezine Ads, Video Marketing etc.. I seem to be working all hours of the day to make it happen but thus far it seems a long way off. I have been running my business for about 3 months now and made a few sales but really need some help on how i can really improve my operation and run it in a structure way, fitting it around everything else in life!!

Any tips and/or guidance will be much appreciated,

    First of all, we need specifics to analyze how much you actually have done.

    How many articles have you submitted? How many videos?

    Were the ezines you sent out to targeted lists concerning your niche?

    Additionally, the problem could lie within your sales page. Would you mind posting your site so that fellow warriors can evaluate?

    Are you participating in the social media sites?

    Remember, if you are not receiving the amount of traffic you want, then you need to scale. Everything in Internet Marketing depends on scaling your campaigns so that they achieve the numbers you want.

    to get instant traffic the only way is google adwords. you can be succesful in it if you place re;evant campaigns like your title should be your keyword itself.

    maybe try an affiliate program and let your affilaites get the traffic for you?

    I am doing everything I am supposed to do....Article Marketing, Social Media, Ezine Ads, Video Marketing etc
    Imho that stuff you are only supposed to do if nobody really cares about what you are selling.

    if people care about it or are interested in it then shoot them an email, they'll be glad you did, offer the top dogs in your topic a free copy or huge discount. of course if the product is worth looking at.

      And of course, use opt-in list, this is sure way not to lose your traffic you're already have. If you've done article marketing, it is vital to know how much articles you've submitted. "Real traffic" from articles somes when you go viral with it, and submit at least 100 articles. There are different ways to learn how to write articles like an athlete does sports.

        It is all about how much content you put out there and in front of as many relevant faces, in the most appealing way possible with some very visible links to your site. Keep writing and posting articles, bookmarking, vids etc.. It isn't just about doing a bit and sitting back, just think of it as each thing you do may bring in just 1 more visitor a day. It might not seem like much but keep doing more and more and your traffic will rise, trust me.

    Common thoughts from someone just starting out. One of the first realities you have to come to grips with is free promotional methods can and are very effective but take time to develop. That means you'll spend lots of time in the beginning working without any apparent results.

    If you have the resources you might try mixing in a little paid advertising just to generate a little activity and keep your spirits up as you work your way through your 'start up' phase.

    It does'nt seem to me like anyone has asked you the first question I would which is what keywords are you targetting????

    It could be that the competition is just to competitive or there arent many searches for the particular keyword that you are going after.

      Thanks Guys.......Yeah that's all helpful stuff.......I think the real problem is i'm being too impatient and want results too quickly.....I know targeted Traffic takes time too build, so I will endeavour to work hard and keep going. I also realise now that I'm not submitting near enough Articles as well as all the other stuff. I just need to MAKE time to do it all.

      Just a quick question fellow warriors.......How long should it take to start getting a Good amount of Traffic on a regular basis, having done all the necessary Marketing?

      Agree with aaronlamont. Have you tried link exchanging ? Have you looked at your google page rank? tried to improve the quality of information on your site? Please try doing that before employing internet marketing techniques , once done you can start marketing in full swing.

    If you have a good product, then you should try for some JV deals... either get an affiliate program setup OR just create a different site/subdomain for each JV partner with a different Paypal button & product id... then you can track things by hand.

    Yes - I understand being impatient... but you gotta build up momentum!

    I hope you have a way to build a list!

    Most of the free traffic strategies are also fairly
    junky traffic. They take a lot of work and don't
    target buyers... but articles and other things build
    up your name and reputation as an authority.

    You need to advertise directly to your most likely
    buyers. Where can you find them and HOW can
    you make an irresistable offer to them?

    Chances are your current offer is resistable and
    mostly reaching the wrong crowd.

    The right crowd can be found in other people's email
    lists and also with targeted advertising like Adwords.

    IM is a long-term game so articles and all that are
    part of it... but if you want cash flow NOW, not later
    you need to start going where the buyers are and
    telling them in emphatic terms how your product will
    make them happy.

      Try putting together a quality squeeze page and promote it on the traffic exchanges. Surfing exchanges for just 30 mins a day should help.
      You could even use a multi tab browser and surf 5 together.

      I would also look at credit based safelists.
      Most of them have very attractive OTO's
      If you invest in 2 or 3 you can quickly recover your costs with the right sales letter.

      I do not agree with traffic exchanges. You will not get quality targeted traffic to your site unless you are trying to generate traffic to a "how to generate traffic" site.

      Additionally, I would try to write 3-5 articles a day, create about 3 squidoo pages a day targeted to those keywords. I would create a blog in the niche to develop some authority and reputation.

      There is no magic button in marketing. Keep working at it. Also, I would get started with social sites such as facebook and twitter.

        Adam you could not be more wrong. I make a living off traffic exchanges and traffic exchanges only. You must just be promoting wrong on them. If your promoting a full sales page on a traffic exchange your not going to make a penny. If you have a fast loading splash page that drawls attention and when click loads up your sales page in a new window you will get some sales. Or if you build a fast loading squeeze page that drawls attention and asks for name and email address you can build a list of thousands to promote to. There is a right way and a wrong way. There are thousands of other ways to drive traffic to your site as well. My suggestion do not limit yourself. Use everything you can INCLUDING Traffic Exchanges.

    I would say be patient for at least a few weeks, then if what you have been doing does not work well enough, find additional ways to generate traffic.

    Marketing wears me out! Out of everything I've tried, article marketing yields the best results. You just have to pick good keywords and a niche that people care about. It also helps to write at least 10 or more articles.

    Hi Steve,

    If you are after instant results nothing is going to beat a PPC campaign. Most other traffic strategies can take a lot of work and time before you start seeing decent results.

    That said Ive found that a well written press release can drive thousands to your site in a fairly short amount of time.

      I agree with this post. This is what you should do for easy results. Make sure you bookmark everything to social bookmarking sites. But for me, also I do others marketing methods along with that. Ezine marketing, social media websites, etc... Massive Action= Massive Results.

      Also track everything so you know what to invest more time into.
