I was searching for a domain name and all TLDs were taken. Only .info and .biz were remaining. Which one do you suggest to go after or is it better to add a modifier like online or x or 101 or something like that at the end of the domain
#biz #info

I strongly suggest .info, rather than .biz.

As Google, and Matt Cutts, keep clarifying so repeatedly, in writing, on blogs and on videos, for SEO purposes it makes absolutely no difference at all - all TLD's are exactly the same. (Some people still imagine otherwise: they're wrong).

But in "public perception", among customers, ".info" is way ahead.

It looks like an "informational" sort of site. That attracts credibility and respect. ".biz" comes across to some people as "just someone trying to sell something", and that can produce suspicion and skepticism.

Above all, don't make the mistake of imagining that ".info", because it's a bit lower-priced to register, is somehow inferior: that isn't so at all.

There's a lot more information in this thread, and this one, here, here and so on ...

Even this thread from earlier today may interest you.

You can try ... I can never find it when I want it! It's linked to in several threads here, though - unfortunately none of the threads I've just referenced above (I checked before posting, in case I could include it again!) - sorry. If you're persistent/inventive enough with the search function, you'll find it in some of my own posts - and some other people's, too.

If it helps, as I remember it's one in which Cutts is wearing yellow.
