What happened with pixelpipe? closed?

Hi,
Few days ago I wanted to create a new pixelpipe account but I failed. I tried with twitter account as well as ovi share. I found an answer from their support saying "Sorry, new accounts are closed. Give ping.fm or hellotxt.com a shot."

Do you know what happened? Will they open again?

    I could log-in to my Pixelpipe account OK just now. The note on the front page about no new accouts because of the service update has been there for weeks however. Their Twitter account appears quite active with a recent entry saying that registration is currently closed due to spammers.

    Hope this helps.

    My existing Pixelpipe accounts all work fine. So Pixelpipe is not gone yet.

    They just closed new registrations due to so much spam.

    Some people have still found ways to create new accounts though. Not sure how?

      I had about 5 or so accounts created.

      I am testing out hellotxt as well right now as a good alternative.

        shoot... i've been putting off getting my pixelpipes accounts for a couple of weeks now. didn't have any idea this could happen..
