Hello WF this is my first post and i've only been into marketing for about a week, even though i've been researching and reading through forums since December. Well let me giver you a little background of my article marketing(my chosen method for now) journey since starting last week: -Did long tail keyword research for 3 Niches I had knowledge about. -Created 8 landing pages, 6 squidoo lenses and 2 blogger pages. The reason for this is because i started doing blogger but then i read somewhere that squidoo is actually "better" so basically i'm testing to see which converts better for the same niche. And using IBP to submit all sites to SE's. -Ping all pages when i finished creating them and when i update. -Signed up with EzineArticles, GoArticles, Searchwarp, and Article Base -Signed up to a bunch of social bookmarking sites(using SEnuke to bookmark) -Written 38 articles so far, and here's my experience regarding this..... So it has taken SOOO long for my articles to get approved through ezine because i didn't know that when i updated an article it falls back in the queue so i've been submitting them to the already mentioned sites. I had all my articles submitted to all the other sites for a few days while waiting for ezine to approve the ten i submitted. I know that's the limit, and it's frustrating for me because i would like to submit them all at the same time because it's easier for me to keep up with them that way. Well through Searchwarp and Article Base i was getting pretty good views(I thought) and even better with GoArticles, and i hear everybody say EzineArticles was the best to submit to, but i didn't know how much better it could be... I checked my Ezine account and had 4 articles approved which i was pretty happy about but i was shocked to see that I had 795 views from just these few articles in only 1 day! This was just as much as the total of each other site. I also made $1.10 from Adsense, i know it's not much but it definitely motivated me! Now I can't wait until all of my articles are accepted by ezine and i get the limit removed where i can submit all my articles.. BTW i'm promoting clickbank products right now and i haven't made a sale yet, but i had a spike in Hops and am sure that i will begin to see sales soon.I just wanted to share my experience and thank everybody for sharing there experience and knowledge. Everybody here in one way or another has helped me get to where i'm at and keeps me motivated to go even farther! Much Success To All, Entrebiz |

It's funny you said that because, i had one of my squidoo pages ranked on the first page within a day for one of my keywords before i even submitted it to the search engines which definitely had me questioning the importance of it.

Simply awesome.. It can take years for a lot of people to achieve what you have done in a week. Keep going, scale it up, keep writing and promoting and the sky is your limit. Quote:

I agree, ezinearticles is the best. Congrats on all your article views! In my experience, writing articles for Associated Content has also gotten me on the first page of google, along with some pretty good page views. They pay upfront payments for your articles also, as long as you make sure it is an original article that will pass copyscape.

When you submit your site to a social bookmarking service you add more buzz. It is important to create content that people want to link to. More links equals higher placement in the search engines; this in turn means more traffic and more sales.

Hello DaveJ13, It may be too early for me to fully judge the other directories but they seem to have no where near the views of ezine articles. Maybe different directories are more responsive to different niches but for my niche ezine has produced more results from only 4 articles than the other ones have from 38 articles. I would say next to ezine i've been getting decent views from GoArticles. I have realized the importance of headlines, make sure it's something catchy and keyword targeted. As i said i'm definitely a "newbie", i'm just speaking on what i've experienced thus far.

| Hello entrebiz, Ezine articles etc are great but first you need the content. Rewiting similar existing articles is ok but time consuming. Have you considered wrangling it with contentboss? |

Blogbrain, I just looked up 'contentboss' and it seems to be an article spinner. I've tried a few different article spinners and the such, but the articles dome out not making much sense. I believe in writing my own articles until i get to the point where i can afford outsourcing. I don't have a problem with writing them. But thanks for your input. |

Hi Enterbiz, I never submitted my lenses to the SE and they were indexed quite fast. Ezin is the best articles directory that's for sure. According to my experiance, submiting the article and soon after it's getting approved uploading it to a lens and bookmarking the lens is the fastest way to getting the desired links. last comment is that i think that it's better to submit one article per week to the directories, this way they "get used to you", faster approval proccess and exposure. have fun. zikimai |
