Getting traffic - Other than search engiens

Warriors,

Other than search engines, what are other sources which drive you more traffic? Say, I do have a new website - Obviously, I cannot rank it on search engines within few days, it will take some time. But I need good traffic, So, I wonder what are the methods which you warriors are following to get clicks?
(say I have a blog where I promote an affiliate product)

thanks for your help in advance.....!!!

you can do a ppc campaign with adwords. it will cost you money, but that is an option for "good traffic" since the traffic will be more or less targeted. You can buy traffic but hard to say if it will be "good traffic"...any other forms of advertising like buying ad space on popular sites related to your niche may also help...

This technique is brilliant, piggy backing on others success. I mean this in a positive way
    I will try this, Thanks.

Actually, you CAN rank a site on the first page of Google even
if it's a new site. It just needs enough of the right links coming
    from the right authority sites.

Naturally, that's harder to do if you target an ultra-competitive
    niche.

Social media generates a LOT of traffic for me. If you engage
your followers and provide value, they will want more of you.

    1. If your website sells a high end affiliate product, you may be interested in using Pay Per Click with Google Adwords. However you do have to do some leg work before you can run a successful pay per click campaign for a website that advertises an affiliate product.

    2. If you want to run pay per click campaigns with less competition, try Bing (Microsoft AdCenter).

    3. You can also take advantage of video websites. You can use video marketing for the time being to attract potential customers. In fact, you can use the videos you publish on video sites like YouTube to rank in Google much faster for keywords.

    4. Media Buying (if you have the budget for it) is another great way of driving loads of targeted traffic to your website.

I have had a good amount of success with E-Zine e-mail Blasts.

I keep them very low pressure as I don't enjoy hard sails tactics.

I find that e-zines are very targeted. Again talking to others this method is very hit and miss for people. Some do well with it and other don't make a single sale.

Also if you do use e-zine lists, make sure you do some info digging on the e-zine.

    My advice.

Find an e-zine. Then send them an e-mail with several questions.

    1) do you run Solo Ads?

    2) How often do you run solo ads)

    3) How many people are on your list

    4) How much is it to run a solo ad

    5) How do I submit a solo ad to you.

I use these questions for one purpose, to get a feel for the owner of the e-zine.

If they don't respond within 48 hours. I black list the e-zine. If their response if not personalized I also don't use them. I also don't use e-zines that send more them a few ads/week. One ad/week is ideal and hard to find. No point in paying for an ad to burnt out list.

I also then sign up for their e-zine and read a few of their editions. I like to see what quality of information they send to their list.

Anyways. There is lots of info out there on Solo Ad methods and E-zines.

As I said. I have made more money on e-zine Solo Ads then I have spent. I will say that this is not often how it works. I have talked to many people who have had no or little success with e-zines.

    I hope this helps.

    Best to you all.

As eddie said above, PPC is the next best option for traffic - not cheap but targetted so good. Other than PPC go for guest blog posting on niche relevant blogs. Ask the owner if he will allow you to post an article on their blog. Usually about 90% agree. And to find them all you need to do is google for blogs + keyword.

Except search engines, my best free traffic method is forum posting. You won't get the success with only one forum. Find niche forums as much as you can (no matter with 45-50), and be an active member.
