Default Suggestions for software to monitor site visitors?

I am playing with a trial version of Live Person. I don't really want the chat portion for now, but I like watching visitors come and go. Is there anything that does just that part?

Live Person is great, but for these little sites it would not make sense to pay the monthly fee just to watch visitors.

I also recommend you take a look at ClickTale:

Using a combination of Javascript and your own website, it recreates "movies" of your visitors actions and movements on your website.

Did they scroll all the way down?
Did they stop and watch the video?
Did they click the order button?
Where are your visitors getting stuck and clicking away?
Where are they stopping and getting back into the copy?

Incredibly powerful stuff... I'm addicted to it.

Thank you Brian, that really looks interesting. I'm going to try it out. Cool.
