Is something wrong with the forum?

Is there something going on with the forum? Everytime I try to long in it takes me several attempts, because it is not registering my info.

I'm finding the same. The forum has been down quite a bit over the past few days too.

Same here. Not only that, the whole forum has been really slow for me for about a week. And it drives me nuts to not see how many people are viewing each forum.

Not too long ago, someone posted that the WF now has over 400,000 members. I suspect that is where the problem lies. That may be more than the software/database can handle, especially if many are on at the same time.

It's taking me 2 attempts to log in each time, but second attempt always works. Also noticed that number of viewers on each forum is not displayed at times, and a big chunk of my posts have just 'disappeared' - about 15 of them. Spooky

  • Friday evening (UK time) everything seemed really slow from here, with lots of time outs.

I've not noticed much a problem this weekend itself.

It has been happening to me as well. For one I was wondering if something was wrong with my account. I have to refresh at least 3 times before the forum registers my info. Not sure what is happening.

I can tell you that it's not what it used to be. For the last couple of months I have been having all kind of problems. It started with Firefox it took for ever to load. So I installed chrome and that work for about two weeks and then I started getting error messages." Too many redirects"

The last week things have gotten better but it's not like the old days where we never had a problem. I have informed the help desk and they are aware of the inconsistencies and inform me that they're working on the problem.

    • This is exactly what I experience every time I try to log in - and it doesn't matter what time of the day I log in either. It's the same fiasco every time.

Do the moderators of this forum actually read these threads? I feel like we're all dealing with Google. It would be nice if someone could just step in and confirm there are some issues going on and that they are being addressed.

I started getting this weird scrolling thing when I tried to scroll down. The browser (Firefox) kept flickering and wouldn't let me scroll down the page. I logged out and then back in again and it was fixed...so go figure.

I hate to admit it, but I do think the forum is running slow when it comes to logging in.

For me, it is taking a couple of attempts before sucsessfully logging in, however I am sure that it is because their server needs to be upgraded due to the amount of members they now have.

Please don't take my word for it, I am just guessing on the reasons.

After I attempt to login, and the login appears to fail, I do not try logging in anymore. I just browse the forum. After browsing a few pages, I am somehow logged in automatically.

Any word about this from Allen or the team?

I was experiencing the same problems and what I finally did was check the "remember me" checkbox so that my browser would get a cookie that keeps me logged in. I haven't had to log in since doing that and therefore have had no more problems.

About a week now that I'm getting database error messages. I saved more page url option, so if one doesn't work, I try another. There was an example here when I was able to login after 23 mins only. Not so good.

Hey... really, the number of members increasing continuously. That is good. But, this can cause such problem. I'm sure, there are wise people who can eliminatee the problem, as soon as possible.

        So, patience, my friends.

EDIT: HAHA, I just wanted to switch to another thread five minutes ago and after waiting I got the following message:

        "Request Timeout

This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server. If it should not be timed out, please contact administrator of this web site to increase 'Connection Timeout'."

I have been having lots of login problems for the last couple weeks, too. It always resolves, but usually takes 2-5 attempts to get logged in. Normally my troubleshooting routine is that I move from the main front page to an interior page/post thread, and that seems to make the login easier. But, I may just be fooling myself with that.

Hope the issue doesn't get any worse...

I usually access the forum to an internal page, not to the homepage. This seems to do the trick for me. Every time I try to log in straight to the homepage it only works after the third-fourth attempt.

I'm always logged in so that is not my problem, but I am getting numerous
Data Base error messages and it has increased considerably over the last
    couple of weeks.

Anyone else have the frustration of posting a long response/message only
to have a data base error and then to lose it all?

I have to try to remember to copy everything I do in case this happens as
I can't trust it will get posted the first time. Rather frustrating.

I've been having the same problem. I was starting to think there was an issue with my computer.
Apart from signing in issues, sometimes it times out when opening other threads to view.
I think that with the number of members the server may be getting bogged down.

    Hello,

On the homepage the login form stays blank and it just looks like you are not logged in. When you browse through the forum you will notice that you are actually logged in. Please also make sure to check "Remember Me" when you login to the forum.

I don't have trouble logging in as such, but I do often get the database error/page not loading.

I also notice it a lot whenever I click on WSO links in my email. The last couple of weeks it is 50/50 whether it goes through or gets a database error. It's only happening with warriorforum, although I do also notice most links seem to go via Aweber. So possibly that has something to do with it too..

After trying once or twice to get through, I don't usually come back to the email later. I would be interested to know if this is happening to others, and if it is affecting anyone's WSO sales figures?

PS - Just got database error when I tried to post this comment lol
