How Often Do You Learn Something Useful In The Main Forum?

As I learn more and other interests develop, I'm finding that I spend less time in the Main Forum, and more time in some of the more specialized forums. I tend to skim titles here, and then I'm gone.

Two of my favorites Forums right now are the Offline Forum and the Copywriting Forum.

So I'm curious, where do you spend most of your WF time ... here in the Main Forum, or other Forums? And what forum(s) do you learn the most from?

Marvin

PS - I almost forgot to mention the War Room!

I gravitate more towards the main forum but the seo and war room have been a great benefit.

I learn something new every day hanging out in the main forum. There is so much useful info in here, it's just a matter of taking it all in and putting it to use.

I use the search function a lot of I'm trying to find something about a particular subject like SEO or copywriting.

Main forum is a good place to learn pickup some tips. Still there are garbage threads that belong in th OT section.

I always find good conversations in the Main Forum. I also like the SEO forum and the Website Design forum. However, the War Room always has the best content.

"TAKE ACTION" is the first thing everyone tells you and then they leave it at that. I'll add a second part: TRACK EVERYTHING" - It's the only way to ensure your ACTION leads to results.

I gravitate towards the Main Forum, and I learn something here every couple of days, sometimes even a few times a day.

The offline, copy writing and websites forum are where I visit first. For dessert I pop into the main forum which is always fun, especially if there's drama

I learn something new every day!

I only just joined, and I've mostly been jumping between the Main and the Web Design forums, as those seem the most relevent to me at this stage. Also, the Web Design forum is more in line with my existing interests

The main forum is exactly that: main or general. What you'll find is; as u grow u will need knew skills as your mind deals and needs to adapt to it's 'new abode' or way of thinking. That's where the specialized forums come into play. The main forum however is great if u haven't yet identified with the particular skill or area you'd like to specialise in, by that the main forum helps facilitate your understand "of" those other fields by the general discussion people are having about them.

I visit the main / general forum almost everyday, and I learn something every time.
I check out New Posts regularly, but for the most part I spend my time perusing the Mobile Marketing and Offline Mkting Discussions sections.

The main forum is my muse when it comes to getting ideas in my business. Almost every time I visit this site, I learn new things in doing offline and online marketing. Just yesterday, I got some awesome business ideas which I plan to implement at the start of 2012 - should get me busy then. What's nice here in WF is that you get to learn valuable info which you would have paid for if you were to look in other sources.

Hope you realize you are going to get a biased result by asking about the main forum in the main forum. To me it was a surprise how many people hang around the wso forum compared to here.

Personally I learn a lot more here than in the war room.

I don't think the results will be biased since the question is about the Main Forum.

One thing that surprises me somewhat is the lack of WSO forum responses ... I think yours is the first. Maybe people who look at WSOs don't bother with the rest of the forum?

When I started working at one of the Nabisco bakeries many years ago, we were free to eat as much as we wanted of whatever was in the ovens that day. You could always tell the new hires ... they stuffed their faces (me included) for a week or so until the novelty wore off.

This kind of describes the WarRoom to me. A LOT of good information available, but we need to be putting it to work if it is not to be a waste (waist - pun intended) of good hard drive space.

Many thanks to everyone who is responding. These responses are certainly enlightening!

I spend most of my time within the main forum, but from time to time check out the other sections. There is definitely gold to be mined in all of the sections, you just have to take the time to look for it.

I find this forum to be a regular gold mine for valuable nuggets.

OK that's weird. I used the gold mine analogy and then read the replies on this thread and find everyone is using the goldmine idea. almost makes my reply look like it's been put through a spinner. I guess the wide use of the analogy just shows how apt the phrase is.

While I certainly agree, it brings to mind an old saying about panning for gold:

You have to go through a lot of dirt to find the gold nuggets.
But never forget, you are looking for the gold!

No doubt there is a lot of wasted space here but after all this time I've learned to skim over most of that stuff and occasionally I see one that piques my curiosity but since I visit this forum everyday I tend to stumble upon those nuggets pretty often

If I have some concerns about Internet marketing I spend some of my time here in WF. Here, there are many veteran IM'ers who can provide me relevant information about my concerns.

I find the main forum best as there are plenty of general posts. Having said that, all the different forums contribute in various ways. The offline marketing forum always has interesting contributions, and the JV forum is equally interesting. Also like to see what other warriors are offering in warrior special offers. Joining the war room soon and if that's half as good as the rest of WF I will be well pleased.

If a vote was had on an idea for a new forum here, mine would go to a 'mentoring' forum where warriors could state their area of expertise and offer true 'One-on-One' tuition - at a price or for a stake in the person's business.

I pop in to most sections of the forum every few days but spend most of my time in the Main Forum, I am always constantly learning new things. I also really like the Mind Warriors - Success, Power, Self-Improvement - it's great to meet like minded Warriors there. I only tend to go into the War Room now every other week to see if there's anything of interest to me for that time.

I am always learning new things though

I like the 'main forum' a lot still. It's sort of the main greeting room for the entire WF and I like the chit chat a little bit, I guess. When I want to get deep into it I do specific searches more than anything....but I always stop by just to see what's new and see if anything piques my interest.

I am almost exclusively in the Main Forum, with a quick peak into the Mind Warriors Section when I get bored. I guess I like to observe and participate in the general conversation. Also the best "WTF" threads come from the Main Section, and those alone are worth stopping by every day.
