Promoting a site with massive volumes of content

Hey everyone

I own a new music site, and I have licensed music from all across the world, this site is pretty new and is not yet launched fully, but before launching I want to get the marketing plan for it ready.

I've always heard that sites with huge volumes of content get traffic from search engines with great ease, the site has about 45 to 50 million pages, which is surely huge, at the same time many of the most popular songs are listed on it, so I wanted to know what sort of affect it would have as soon as I submit a sitemap into Google.

If possible I was also looking for various ways through which I can promote such a site, I do have a marketing team, but I myself am purely a developer, so wanted to get an idea of this before discussing a plan with my marketing team.
