How many affiliate sites do you have and what kind are they?

I'm wondering how many affiliate site marketers have on average and what is the most popular type of site: Squidoo lens, review site, Wordpress blog, content site, conduit site, landing page, ebay site, amazon site. Some sites can be a mix of these too. Which one is bringing you the most success?

Also what way do you drive traffic to your sites: articles, videos, Yahoo answers, PPC, forums, SEO. Which one brings you the most success?

Right now I only have a few Squidoo lens and I'm getting traffic from articles. I will be going the blog route next with automated content added so I will test that out.

Affiliate is a numbers game, the more you have, the more money you will make. So after how many sites did you start to get a good income?

    I am building an affiliate income on Squidoo. Because I am a part-timer right now, I do not want to invest all of the time and money that goes into traditional affiliate marketing with buying domains and traffic, etc. Squidoo, in my opinion, is a much better platform for beginners and part-timers because there is no cost to acquire the urls and there are no webhosting costs.

    It's basically free money, and they payout monthly.

    How many lenses you need depends on what kinds of products and programs you are promoting, but since there is no limit to the number of lenses you can create, it's a win-win IMHO.

    As an affiliate I just have one site. But as it is a numbers game I have the site having 700+ products. Haven't really got to the marketing stage yet haveing just finishing the setting up.

    With Squidoo it's not how many lenses you have, it's what they promote. The key is to getting in on new product launches and having a lens up, running, and on the front page of Google come launch day.

    You will make more money during the two weeks following the launch than the rest of the year combined. You've got to keep creating new lenses as new products are launched. That's when all the buzz is and you need to leech off of that buzz.

    When you find a new product launch you have got to get to Squidoo and register your URL for your lens immediately so you get a good one. The best one is www.squidoo.com/theproductname

    If the product name is multiple words and you can't get that name then try putting a dash between the words in the product, or two dashes, or add review or bonus to it. Google sees dashes as spaces so that is okay to do.
