I'm going to start my own website but I'm not too sure what the domain name should be. I mean I'm going to do email listing so once I add the op in email, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the site after getting the list. What content do I put especially since It has to do something with my niche/free giveaway for op in.

It depends on what market, niche or micro-niche you are going after. First off, you want to make sure there are buyers in the market you want to go after. So, ask yourself is anyone already making some money with this? If the answer is no, then most likely you won't either.

Use the free Google keyword tool to do a little keyword research on the market or niche that you want to go after to see if there are any keyword phrases that is getting some good traffic and make that keyword phrase the domain for your website.

Content is King most of the time, so pick something that you are passionate about and don't mind writing about, so you can build an audience or something you can easily hire out if possible.

Just a few suggestions...hope it helps! Keep on keepin on!

So I should actually add content along with the page with the op in email?

Dude, you should have a plan in place, including the specific topic you will be writing about before you pick the domain name, that is, if your going for an organic search driven blog-like site, you should be prepared to write a couple of articles a week, writing about something you are interested in can help you stay motivated enough to write (or find) perhaps 100 articles a year centered around the main topic.

Of course exact keyword domain names still give a search ranking advantage, although they're not as powerful as they once were.
You could use the Google Keyword Tool to identify keyword phrase prospects, remove the spaces then paste them into the Godaddy bulk search tool and try all 10 available TLDs to see if any have been overlooked. Supposedly the TLD whether .net or something more obscure has a minimal effect on ranking, though you can't beat the resale value and authority potential of .com domains.

There are sites with tools that help you come up with fictitious names, including: wordlab.com, naming.net, wordoid.com, lingzini.com, namestation.com, some of these tools look up the domain name availability as you go.
