Default Who Uses Podcasts?

Hey folks! Sean here, had a few questions.

I've heard about doing podcasts and such on blogs and the like, and I've always been interested in posting my voice for others to hear (I was a nationwide DJ once, it was amazing getting calls from people across the US who heard me on a daily basis) and I'd like to know where to start with Podcasts.

Is there a certain way to go about it?

Do I need to buy a few programs?

Any information would help!

Plus, I'd like to know how you yourself use podcasts for your business, or for your fun!

Thanks guys and gals,

Sean

My staff at CoasterCrazy.com uses podcasting. They posted a good podcast product. The quality is great. Here is the forum topic where they tell the public how they can join the podcasts:
How To Get On CCR - CoasterCrazy.com

So far the response has been positive, we don't promote products, just podcast about the industry. So you could say we do it for fun, but the ultimate goal is to get enough listeners that advertisers are willing to advertise in the podcasts. Luckily, in our next podcast we have 2 advertisers

Thats pretty sweet! It's always nice getting people who are asking you to advertise their stuff.

Good luck to you!

Thanks, you can check out the podcasts we have running here:
http://www.coastercrazy.com/podcasts/rss.xml
We just started with them last month I believe and since it was started out of their own will I had no hand in what they put in the podcast. But, that wll change soon lol. I am going to start targeting and see how the research goes in results and then I can probably promote products. There is another website in my niche, that does pure podcasts and they are a success, so that's what I pan to aim for as soon as I get time to focus on it.
Thanks for the comment and good luck wish
Hopefully you can become successful with the podcasting

I'm using podcasting and getting fantastic results. I can't imagine anyone not using some kind of media on their site! I didn't do it till now because I couldn't find the correct technology.

I am voicing a new project. An Audio Book / Russian Novel. I uploaded it to my podcast and am actually able to direct people to the podcast to listen to the first chapter to see if they like the product. It's also great for the client to be able to let others who are involved in the novel to be able to listen to hear what the project will be like when completed. I could upload the entire book. But I won't. For me, I wouldn't be able to live without the podcasting/blog feature that I use! Everyone should use it!

And where did you get your equipment/software?

I'm glad its working for you! I'm planning on starting a blog with uploaded videos and such regularly, and I was hoping to maybe do a weekly podcast.

Hope you go far!
