How to edit an audio file ( VLC )

Hey all,

i need to edit an audio file, VLC.

Basically, i need to remove about 4 - 5seconds of time from a 1hour plus file as it contains profanity and i need someone to listen to it.

Can anyone guide me?

Get a copy of Audacity, it's a free audio
editing programme.

I'd suggest making a copy of the file you
want to edit and experiment until you
learn how to use it.

Well you can try an old tool called MP3 Cutter It should solve your problem.

You can get more freeware Mp3 cutter or you can use sony sound forge Pro!! A powerful audio editor..
