How do I gain more traffic to my site?

How do I gain more traffic to my site? My site is doing fairly well, I want to stay on top of it as much as I can. Is there a way to make a datafeed for my site? So I can send it to Google products. Also where are the types of sites I can submit products links to?

Anyone familiar with upload .com?

if you are on top, then keep posting you link to the high PR site, so that your ranking can maintain that spot.

Don't forget Facebook. You can hyper target prospects that are interested in what you have to offer. It's really a treasure trove for marketers, and not that many people are using it at the moment.

I would smack on an opt in form on your site right away; giving away something of value for free.

Why? because whatever amount of traffic your are getting, make sure not to loose it in one shot. Capture their emails so you have that traffic for life hopefully.

Wow, Thanks for all the great ideas. The biggest thing would be, if someone uses my website, would they want to use it again. Would they continue to use the site. That is what I am looking for and to add all these great ideas along with it.

To make it sticky you need to give them a reason to come back - and make it easy for them to do that.

Posting regularly, trying to spark discussion, adding bookmark buttons, rss buttons, making it easy to opt in to your mailing list, and emailing them when new content is added increase the chances of creating a sticky site.

    Good luck.

Agh there it is again. The age old question.

It has been covered numerous times, (go use the search button for more) but here let me help you out.

    -PPC.
    -Articles
    - Press releases
    - Joint Ventures
    - CPA

Also make sure you are going to the places that have your most likely customer. Think, hmmmm where are my most likely customers hanging out online and go there, and see if you can put your messages and ads, or links back to your sites. Just like blog commenting that is a good way.

Hope this helps. The traffic is out there....do not wait for it to come to you, go and hunt it down and get the highest quality. That will increase sales and profits big time.

Thanks celente, I have read alot of the other posts. I know I need to write articles and press releases. Where do I do that for a products website? Where are soe of the places where people hang out that would shop on a site like mine? Just seeing if anyone else here has a simular issue.

First of all you need to find out the highest traffic sites in your niche. Go and see if you leave an imprint there or even a deal to put a banner ad up. That is a priceless way to get traffic back to your site, we do media buys all the time.

For articles you want to put up on as many articles directories as you can. But I would go with

        Goarticles.com
        ezinearticles.com
        articlebase.com

and for press releases we always use the higher paid options with these sites.

        PRweb.com
        webwire.com.

Hope it helps you make some of the green stuff. NOw just take action.

It's not as much about the traffic as it is about the quality of the visitors.

You are absolutely right. I'm not looking for stats. I am looking for people that want to use the site to find deals, like it enough to want to come back again.

  • I actually get a lot of traffic from places like Stumbleupon. For just one of my sites last week I got 1872 unique visitors directly from SU.

    I also love FB/Twitter too.

    Hey,

Well now I think you have got a proper idea of how to gain traffic i.e. by submissions. However, in order to work in your target market you need to work area and region wise first and expand your marketing space. Try to submit your product on different product feed submission sites and to sites. Use social media sites to market your product and get customers by stating actual value of the product and why they should buy with you!

Getting TOP is very HARD and need a lot of effort. But stay on TOP is harder than it. If you are on the TOP than you need to update your website regularly and make your content more INTERESTING to catch your visitor's attention. Social Bookmarking is side work you should keep on.
