No Conversions ??? Whats wrong??

We have started a new e-commerce shop boutique signorelli selling high quality brand label baby and kids clothing. We have had over 1500 unique visits since we went live 10 weeks ago but we are not getting any conversions yet. We also tried Adwords but no sucess. Our products are unique and of high quality and we offer many payment options. We are not quite sure where to start to find the solution to the problem. Would greatly appreciate any idea's or advice

    Like they've said it's pretty hard to give any
    real advice without seeing your site. However,
    I do know that most of my family and friends
    are shopping at consignment shops for baby
    stuff these days and not the big brands.

    Could be an issue of how the economy is doing
    but I hate to blame things on that. Hoping your
    site shows evidence of something wrong and it's
    not just that you are selling the wrong thing at
    the wrong time.

    My first question would be where is all your traffic coming from? What is your analytics showing? Just getting traffic doesn't mean you will get sales

    You're asking people to spend a lot of money for clothes that will be worthless (too small for their kids) in literally just a few months.

    People will spend money on new clothes if it is a gift to other parents to give to their kids. Or if it is a birthday or a Christmas gift.

    Parents will more than likely buy used clothes, so they can buy diapers.

    You need to learn the unspoken rules, and often rules that nobody thinks about when buying clothes for kids.

      Try to give out something FREE.. eg free e-book that parents concern etc..
      Build your relationship with your visitors 1st before asking them to purchase anything from you.
