Hey bud - drop me a line. I'm a UK based SEO Consultant / WP developer and can take a look at your site. If it needs changing I can give you a quote for the site.

WP sites don't rank higher because they're WP, they rank higher because WP makes it easy for people to get SEO right.

I also have some other good ideas for you to get more traffic.

        Dave

ps. there are a lot of myths about html v WP etc ... and some of the advice above is just urban legend (and I'm being polite). I have high ranking sites made in DW, WP and XSitePro. I have a site on page 1 for the term "aviation" ... it's not WP.

Only go to wordpress if you have the time to do the modifications, like installing plugins, changing options (e.g. permalinks) etc. By default, html is far more search engine friendly than wordpress. Think before your action(s).

    Hi 'thekaver'

As DeltaSEO has just said, it doesn't matter if a site is in WP or created in another program like dreamweaver, the important thing is that it should be correctly formatted and optimised.

WP makes this easy in my opinion and I do most of my stuff in WP now, but like Dave, I've got high ranking sites in both WP and non-WP.

I don't agree with Dukegman about 'only go for wordpress if you've got the time' - it really depends on your starting point. Learning HTML can be more of a pain than using a CMS or using WP as a CMS... If you're not already familiar with HTML or an HTML editor it could take you longer to learn and set that up than starting WP from scratch. So a lot depends on what you're already comfortable with.

    Hope that helps

    Matthew

    I recommend to use wordpress.
    Advantages:
    - a lot of useful plugins and design themes
    - if your site will become bigger you will have an opportunity at add content fast, make necessary changes and so on.

    My Advice would be...
    1)Wordpress
    2)Plugins
    3)Fresh Content
    4)High Ranking Backlinks
    5)On&Off Page SEO

One big thing with Wordpress is you have to keep it updated. I've made the mistake in the past of creating sites that should have been static in WP because it was 'easier', and then fallen foul of a hacker because the particular install of Wordpress wasn't up to date.

    So, Wordpress = maintenance.

These days I only use it for 'big' sites that will be regularly worked on and maintained anyway.
