what to do with this domain....

Howdy, I am a newb and have a .info domain with "google" in it and it is getting over 40k exact global searches a month. Could I set it up for adsense or would google crush me for having their name in the domain.
Would it be worth the effort of trying to seo a site or should I do something else with it, what would be my best course of action to try and make some money off the domain (if possible).....

Thanks

I would suggest to drop that domain and never use it, Google won't allow you to use their trademark and they will come back to you sooner or later..check out this post on this forum http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...nd-letter.html

They came after the guy for using Adwords in his domain

Sounds like they could easily take it from me, but maybe I could make $10k before they sent me the cease and desist letter....it is tempting when you see those search numbers, but not sure if it is worth the risk or "ethical" or if I could even do it. When I do keyword searches, I always see Microsoft domains available.... for a reason right?

OK, I appreciate the quick and decisive responses. I was leaning against it and needed a second opinion. That's why I signed up. Lots of good info here.

      -Thanks

I had WordPress in my domain and was told to change it by WordPress. I could have changed it to WP which is allowed, but instead I changed it completely.

The rule with WordPress is you can't use their name in the main domain but you can in the URL...

      Eg.

      wordpresstutorial.com No no!

      mydomain.com/wordpresstutorial Yes yes!

It is a spurious area. Some companies don't mind you having their name in your domain. If you are an Affiliate, then most won't mind as you are helping to sell their product. But any of the big boys won't allow it for obvious reasons, even if you stick it after the / in the URL.

Anyway the whole idea is to brand yourself, and preferably your product, not something else that's already been done. But that's just my opinion...

      If in doubt keep out.

      Hope this helps.
