One lesson in starting a new website

We should be building long-term brands and sites instead of trying to chase the latest Google loophole.

Yes, some short term strategies work, but build for the long-term and you will get more traffic overtime - while worrying about Google less.

If the community is built around a time-sensitive event or product, with no contingency plan in place once the product or event's promotion cycle has ended, you should give serious consideration to whether you should even create one to begin with.

I think that you would be a fool not to focus on long term stuff. But at the same time you would be a fool not to take advantage of current "loopholes" so to speak.

Both are needed and both will make you money.

The Google Panda formula introduced plenty of new hurdles for short-term Seo techniques.

The pattern with the short term Search engine optimization technique is..

The internet search engine formula changes.

The client’s internet search engine traffic drops (a dramatic drop if there is a major formula change).

The customer conveys dissatisfaction towards the Search engine optimization firm.

The Search engine optimization firm tries to reanalyze the formula.

The Search engine optimization firm implements changes.

The customer waits for implementation to consider effect.

    Lather, rinse, and repeat.
