Analytics just upgraded to Instant Results. Now I can see how many people are on all my websites as they come in . I think it's pretty cool, Googs seems to be getting their act together lately...

What do you think?

    Quite the opposite.

I coudnt give a rats fat one about how many people are on my site. I can check my visitor data quite easily.

What's important to me is SEARCH REFERRAL DATA.

But the clowns have hidden most of that!

    Idiots!

So can I but I still appreciate it.

Search referral data... You talking about specific keywords or referring sites?

          Why?

After checking I see that my own "Keyword: (not provided)" has gone through the roof on all websites. Sucks, why would Google bite the hand that feeds them? We need to create good content and it helps to know what others are searching, right?

So what are people doing about it? Just wearing it or getting new Analytics? And will any other Analytics even work if Google is hiding these keywords from everyone?

Is anyone else getting inaccurate stats from GA as well? My stats all week are completely off for one of my niche sites. I have gotten FAR more subscribers on one of my sites than GA is saying that I've had visitors.

Good to see Google upgrading but we'll always get what we pay for... if we want the most accurate stats we have to pay for them

Yeah it is. Rumour has gone around that the paid versoin will unlock it but the data is encrypted at the search so no way for even Analytics to get it out. Other solutions have the same problem, naturally.

I was actually amazed at how many people didn't care that they were losing a lot of the referral data. The number is apparently insignificant but I think off the top of my head my site is getting around 10% not provided. I personally use that data to modify key articles on my sites as well as adjust copy for landing/squeeze pages.

If I have a page selling blue widgets but a chunk of people are actually looking for free blue widgets then I need that data to adjust the opening offer.

Real Time search is ok but other companies have been doing that for years.

Im finding similiar results. Matt Cutts reported that keyword data (not provided) wouldnt exceed single digits, but its been proven otherwise.

Live data to me, is pretty useless. I usually monitor monthly trends, not 5 minute intervals.

      It really is a joke.
