Newbie making a change for 2009

Hey everyone, I would like to start off by introducing myself. I am 25 years old and attending community college in beautiful southern California. I first got started in internet marketing about a year ago when I decided that I wanted to build a million dollar empire from the comfort of my home. I started out by pursuing the Profit lance system. I really enjoyed the information that I was given but I tried to learn everything all at once, and I was too concerned with the thought of making a lot of money and very little into the process of learning the ability. I did all this while running my eBay business and going to school. To make a long story short eBay was my only income and it consumed all of my time and energy forcing me to put internet marketing on the back burner. It has been four months since I've last sold anything on eBay and I am now ready to fully commit myself in IM. I now realize that I have to treat this like a million dollar business, if I plan to make it one.

My question to everyone is, if Profit lance is the best way to start learning IM or is there a better program to follow?

I am not sure about about Profit Lance. I joined Wealthy Affiliate as a newbie and I am still a member. It is such a good place for beginers as well as for experts. WA member's only forum is a wonderful place to be.

    Just my opinion..

Please feel free to PM me if you need any info.

I believe, that any endeavor which is sought after tirelessly can become whatever you choose. It's hard to say what is or isn't "right" The only right is what's best for you. So do your homework and stick to your plan. And I fully believe that your million dollar empire will be realized. If this company is not right for you, One will present itself that will be.

I don't think you should join any program at all until you are making some money. Use the information you can get here for free to get started and when you are making some money join programs to learn how to increase the proffits. Most of the things taught in programs can be found for free anyway.

I agree that you don't need to purchase anything else at this time. I too started with the Profit Lance system and although helpful, is pretty basic. Right here is where you will gain the most knowledge. You will find a wealth of information on this forum if you take the time read.

When you do start implementing strategies to get your business going and begin making some money, then I would highly recommend joining the War Room. It is an inexpensive way to gain more insight to advance your business.

        Best of luck.

No I don't have an income model yet, I'm not quite sure which one to follow or which one would be most effective for me. I can tell you that I don't feel confident enough in creating my own products yet, so that checks that one off the list. Also, I don't have a lot of money to spend. How do I know which model to follow, do I learn them all and see which one suits me best or do I use the trial and error method and just pick one and learn all I can about it? If I use the trial and error method, how long do I stay with it before trying the next model?

As a newbie you don't have a whole bunch of choices:

Ad you're going to have the make a choice.

Examine the tasks you have to do for each of the models and then decide which one you want and think would be easiest for you to do.

All these models work and it ain't rocket science:

      Doing is very important.

      You could use...

      The Adsense Model:

You slap up a webpage or blog, put some niche content on it and you also place those "ads by goooooogle" ads on the page.

When your page visitors click on one of the ads - you get paid and no one has to purchase anything.

      The Niche Affiliate Model:

You are selling a product or service for a commission.

It's best to have some type of landing page for your prospects so that you can at least warm them up before you ask them to click on through to a page that will try to sell them something so that you can earn a commission.

The CPA Model: (cost per action )

You slap up a page with a CPA offer on the page.

The offer could be something simply asking your prospect for their zip code, or a free trial to a product or only their name and email address.

You get paid when someone takes an action - but no one has to purchase anything.

It could be anything from 25 cents to 10 dollars or more per action.

All 3 of these simple models have created another sources of income for countless serious net marketers.

All three models work just fine.

      >>>> As you may have noticed...

You must be able to slap up a "landing page" on the net if you want to make money.

( at least for these 3 models )

      - The pages can be free or you can use a paid service - like a hosting service.

      Here's a free page service...

      http://www.synthasite.com/googppc2

Then you must be able to generate visitors to that page.

This is the part of the process that confuses many newbies:

      - Either you work for the free traffic or you can pay for it.
      - There are many methods of driving traffic to your pages:
      - Master this part of the puzzles and you can write your own ticket:

Newbies are confusing traffic generation methods with business models which leads to lots of so-called info-overload.

Then you must monitor, test and tweak your results to get enough of your visitors to do what you want them to do.

      > If you're serious, you'll examine these three models and select one of them.

Then locate a step by step course on the model. ( free or paid )

If you can't afford to pay say... $10-$50 for some how to, step by step info on a model I think you need to examine why you don't have say $10-$50 to spend on anything you want.

You can search this forum for free info on the models and search the wso's and classifieds for paid info.

      Hope This Helps!!

      TL

Ps. First you pick a model and then you select a group of people to market to ( serve )

Or, it can be the other way around, but you must select and model and a niche and then get busy.

I agree that there's way too much free information out there to hang your hopes on one boxed package. Take a few days to look around here and pick whatever excites you.

This thread was really popular since basically anyone can pull it off and it takes zero capital:

[Sorry they won't let me post links yet, but search the forum for "Stupidly Simple Cash Cow."]

I just wanted to give you some encouragement. I've been researching for a year now on how to make money online and still find all the information overwhelming but you do have to sort through and find what will work for you. I love reading Lynn terry's blog look up click news.

    Good luck

If you don't know what you're looking for, you could be looking and researching for a year???

Newbies can eliminate lots of confusion and info-overload by simply researching online business models, selecting one of them and then getting busy.

You'll never know what will work for you if you don't actually do something because in this business you learn by doing not researching or studying.
