Best tablet for business use?

I am looking to buy the Sony S tablet....I'd like something on Android due to the amount of great word processing apps available.

I do own an iPad, but tend to keep it just for personal use. I also bought a Playbook but sold it - what a piece of junk - I had to hit the screen 4/5 times just to register each command.

So, does anyone have a favorite tablet for business use? I'm particularly looking at word processing and web browsing ability - as that makes up the majority of my business activities.

Thanks,
James.

Tablets just don't "do it" for me. Even for light web use and word processing, the minimum I'm comfortable with is a netbook.

I'm with you. I bought an Ipad and was super excited for it but the only time I use it now is to get wi-fi on a plane. It's just my personal preference but I don't need anything smaller than a lap top.

The desktop helps me stay focused because I'm in an office and not on the couch in front of the tv and I've been using my laptop for personal use. I couldn't incorporate the tablet into my business no matter how hard I tried.

Many people swear by Prozac, I understand (though admittedly, in some countries, it's more widely available in capsules than in tablets).

Unbelievable! You stole my intended reply - word for word!

...and I did actually Google to see if it came in capsule form rather than tablet before I was about to post.

I'm a huge supporter of Lenovo's (formerly IBM) "corporate" Think range of systems. Super-duper high build quality (unmatched, in my experience, except perhaps by Apple products, despite being totally different), rock-solid functionality and excellent support provided by IBM. I have a ThinkPad X201 here and a ThinkCentre desktop.

Most of their stuff in the UK now seems to come with a 3-year warranty as standard. Not sure what the warranty situation is in Canada/America or indeed whether that extends to their tablets, but might be worth a look.

The new Android-powered ThinkPad professional tablets look pretty impressive and I've heard good stuff about them. If/when I'm in the market for a tablet in the future myself, they'll no doubt be my first port of call.

    Good luck in your search.

If you want a tablet which can easily transform into a "laptop" check out Asus Eepad Transformer. You can buy the attachable keyboard and your tablet becomes a laptop. Not only you get more battery life, you also get an SD and usb port so you arent limited to the 16/32/64G of storage you have on regular tablets.

I havent purchased it myself, but many of my friends own it and it feels great. The new version (Transformer Prime) is a quadcore processor, so it is way ahead of the ipad or any other tablets currently out there. It will also get Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4) before other tablets.
