Hey everyone.. Wanted to know everyone's ideas on how they go about getting the word out about a product launch. What have you done in the past that was successful? PR Release? anything else? Any other ideas that has brought in good amount of traffic? Thanks in advance! Kim |

I launched a product this spring using a JV list - initially I got about 330 subscribers to my list. Then I sent them a few follow-ups giving them free eBooks and stuff, and created a situation when people where very eager to see the actual product. On the first days of launch I sold around 50 copies - from a list of 330 it's a really good conversion. But the main start-up factor was - the JV list.... Rgds, Robert

Hey, Kim - If you can "write the check" ... a great fellow I know named Jeff Walker is the bomb when it comes to product launches, and he also gives away a lot of cool stuff that can help you, too... Chip Tarver |

Thanks guys.. appreciate it. I wanted to get Jeff's product but it is closed to the public right now, unless he has opened it. I currently have around 50k of my own list that I have utilized farely well, but certainly don't want to exhaust them either. thanks again.. Has anyone seen good results PRweb? Kim |

I have used PRW many times with good results. Do bump the price enough to get the tracking features... If you can afford it, PR NewsWire is better, but much more expensive... Chip |

Rachelle - Jimmy D. Brown has an awesome report on product launches for about $15. If you have no experience with launching or have no understanding from which to launch i would strongly recommend you pick it up. I forgot the name of it though... |

Kim, in addition to the excellent advice given above, I'd also suggest either a pre-launch WSO with it or perhaps one within a few weeks after launch..... - Darrell |

1. Find a way to prove the sales strength (WSO for IM products) 2. Show that strength to the best JVs and affiliates (make it as easy for them as you possibly can to make money) 3. ?!?!??! 4. Profit |

I would start off with and in this sequence: 1. PR release 2. finding affiliates 3. find jv partners 4. PPC 5. article marketing 6. taking part in jv contests and repeat step 2 and 3. Cheers, John

Kim, a few tips for you... 1. Ideally you have either your own list (even as few as a couple hundred subs) or partners who can drive traffic to your launch process. If you haven't been capturing the visitors you already have going to your site - then put together some great content (a report, video, giveaway of some sort) that will get you up to a few hundreds subs 2. Then, begin generating a few pieces of pre-launch content that will give value to your market and a reason for others (partners) to begin helping you build your launch by driving their trusted traffic your way. At the same time, you are warming up your list in preparation for your launch 3. If you do have a list, survey them and see if you can add any additional value by getting into a "conversation" with your subscribers in advance of the launch - this builds some buzz and activity 4. Get some testimonials/case studies/proof form a few of your subscribers or trial customers for your product - this will be important as you build toward launch and on launch day. 5. Set a deadline a few weeks out and stick to it...no matter what. There's lots more, but this should get you started... Jeff |

| JV contest is a contest held to see which JV partner does the most sale for a particular product. Lets say you have product X, you set aside a contest prize, 1 million dollars for the first winner who does the most sale. You invite John with 10,000 list, Susan with 100,000 list and James with 50,000 list. They compete to be the winner and doing their best to sell your product X. In a way, your product X gets sold leveraging on other people list and network. Hope this helps, John |
