New Need Ebook, Autoresponder Help

I'm new so I could use your suggestions.

Can I have a pop up email opt in for a blogger blog? I would offer the free report to build my list)
Where does that report come from ( not the creation but the process of uploading and them downloading) I create a pdf and upload it to Aweber or something similar?

Is there a free site comparable to Aweber?

And Please help me with the order-

opt in from Aweber offering free report
build list drive traffic to squeeze page with ebook?

Click bank is where I upload my book and then from click bank it goes onto autoresponder?


I just need to understand the process. I want the opt in on my blog because it's not a huge product driven blog more stories etc: But I get asked all the time for advice so I'm making two things 1. a free report that addresses some issues and 2. A product they can pay for that addresses the rest.

So could you just give me a basic guide of the process and suggestions on the best resources to use? Thank you. And do I just promote squeeze pages all over with the ebook or how does that work and how do I have affiliates for this ?

How do I handle the payment transaction ?

This is what I want to do..

    Hi Zeekc,

    Here's the order that I work in:

    1) Write the ebook or report and save as PDF
    2) FTP it to your website under a separate subdirectory
    3) Use one of the free autoresponder services (ImnicaMail, MailChimp (if not MMO))
    4) Write your "Confirmation" email in Autoresponder service
    5) Write your "Follow up after confirmation" email. On this email you will put the link for the download e.g. www.mywebsite.com/download/freereport.pdf
    6) Create a squeeze page on web or blog
    7) Insert Form code from autoresponder service on web page
    8) Put a link to the Squeeze page in your signature on the WF

    I might have missed a step but I think that's it

      How do I FTP/ not sure I know what that is
      confirmation email?
      Confirmation= hope you enjoyed the free report ( I wouldn't write it but is this what your talking about confirmation)

      follow up ( not sure still where the link is before I grab it)
      link in squeeze page in sig on WF- Whats a WF
      I'm obviously pretty ignorant of the process at this point- Thanks for your help.

        Blogger doesn't offer FTP access, and I unfortunately don't have any advice other than to outsource this to someone with Blogger (blogspot) and autoresponder/file-delivery experience.

        Hi Zeek,

        I missed the point about it being a blogger site. You will have to use a file sharing service like 4shared to upload your free report. Once you have uploaded it, you will be given a link (which you copy).

        Confirmation email: When you use an autoresponder service and people sign up for your report, the service sends them a confirmation email requesting that they confirm their email address.

        Follow up email: That is the email that they get immediately after they have confirmed their email with the download link on it. This is the link that you copied above. When the user clicks on it, they get sent to the file download site to download the file. This is where you say "thank you for signing up - here is your free report. Click on this link"

        FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. You need to purchase a hosting service like Hostgator or Bluehost. It's basically how you put your files onto a website.

        A confirmation email is just an email sent out automatically after someone opts in to your list. They have to click the link in the confirmation email to gain access to your free product that they opted in for.

        WF just stands for the Warrior Forum. You can put a link to your squeeze page in your signature that shows up in every post of yours to drive traffic.
