Twitter opt-in rate

Whats the opt-in rate in twitter like , trying some new ways to build my list

    My accounts range from 10-40% of the "people" I follow, follow me back. It used to be much higher.

    And of those 10-40%, I'd guess at least half are bots following me back from spammy accounts...So figure the number of "real people" is probably 5-20% of those that I follow.

    But even the bots seems to have some benefit...It seems they add to the PageRank of Twitter pages and it's pretty easy to get a good PR on individual Twitter account pages. Granted, the links from Twitter are nofollow, but they are on high PR pages and it's well-proven Google will follow links in Twitter and index pages that have no other links, other than Twitter.

    Edit: Sorry, misread your OP. Looks like you want to know how many people sign up for your email list from Twitter...Can't help you with that.

      For me your opt-in rate will be directly related to how targeted your traffic is. It doesn't matter what platform you are using to drive traffic to your squeeze page, if the people landing on it are not interested in what you are offering, they won't opt-in. If they are then they will. So just focus on getting highly targeted traffic from your twitter pages I.e. traffic that want what you are offering.

        For me i find twitter to be a little useless even if i have targeted twitts.

    I think what counts more is how targeted your traffic is.A lot of people think Twitter Traffic is not worth it. They are completely off-track. If you have 1000 people following you because of the quality of what you offer, you are in for a deal. That's like an aweber list of 1000 verified emails.If you twiend your Twitter account or buy some unsure 10000 followers for $50, what do you expect?
