Google Analytics and Cookies - Action Required
The law has changed that applies to how cookies are used by websites. Essentially the new legal requirement is that cookies and similar technologies can only be placed on a user's machine where the user has given their consent. Organisations, including FE and HE institutions, have been given up to one year to get their house in order.

Please note this law currently only applies in the UK (I think).

So as a UK affiliate I have 2 questions I hope some experienced people can answer.
1. Which stat counter do you use that provides the same or better info than Google Analytics
2. This is more important to me as I'm based in the UK but how do I get my sites to target the US? I normally set the territory in GA but obviously won't be able to do this, is it as simple as using a UK host for sites targetting UK consumers and a US host for sites targetting the US - is the territory automatically the country of the host?

I hope someone can answer my questions, thanks.
