As per my view, Drupal and Wordpress are becoming more similar. But I think Wordpress is better than Drupal for blogging and Drupal is the best for long websites. So it easy to say that Wordpress is mainly for blogging and Drupal is much more complex to implement.

I am a wordpress lover. I use it all the time. Maybe it is because I am use to it but to me its very easy and professional. Plus, I love all the plugins!

Definitely go with WordPress. It's much easier to use and also get setup and running is relatively quick. Also, the community within WordPress is much larger and there's a theme or plugin most likely made to do just about anything you could want!

You haven't really explained what your needs are to know how to choose, so the advice here is fine.

I'm just confused when you say 'more professional with Drupal'.

Perhaps that's just because there are more amateurs who are willing to give WP a go. Visually it seems that WP can do almost anything!

If you want to blog long term, then go for wordpress. It's easier to customize and rank. It's also user-friendly. Also so many themes and plugins to choose from.

Drupal & Joomla can be powerful for configurations which Wordpress may not be able to handle.

However, keep in mind that to do most things beyond what Wordpress can handle, you will most likely need to hire a developer (unless you're a developer yourself, in which case I doubt this question would exist in the first place). Not to mention that there are a hundred php/wordpress developers for every Drupal/Joolma developer which will mean higher costs down the line.

As wordofmouthmagic mentioned, take a hard look at what you're trying to achieve on your site (beyond just design) & only move to Drupal/Joomla if you determine that you need something which can't be done with existing Wordpress plugins.

It's going to be much better to have a good looking, functional site on Wordpress than a great looking page which you're not going to know how to update without the help of a developer.

I vote for Wordpress too. Super simple to set up and customise and so many people are working on plug-ins and add-ons. The couple of times I've tried Drupal I've found it quite a steep learning curve.

    Good luck.

    Cheers
