So I guess the developer is no longer around to answer questions on this? Does anyone know if this works with WP 2.8?

It runs very smooth here.

One question, I understand that it can show also embeded youtube videos. This does not work out of the box. Can anyone explain how to get this done.

The online tuto is offline.

I used YAAB for a bit but it really had too many glitches and I ended up scratching that site and starting over.

It's really cool. Would be great if someone was actively working the kinks out of it.

Can't someone please provide a .pdf tutorial for this plugin? Since it's so useful to many of us in this forum, many of the questions asked here will be found in the tutorials.

I downloaded YAAB from one of the posts earlier in this thread. It is clear that it is no longer being supported and didn't work for me on the latest 2.8.6 version of WP. The author's website is no longer live and I kept getting annoying pop up windows advertising stuff.

So I would say steer clear - sounds like it might have been a good product once but is no more...

Yes, indeed ... there are new products on the market now that are more effective and well supported ... like WP-Robot, WPmanagerDX etc ... not free, though! There is a limit to which a vendor can support a free product.

how can you compare WPManagerDX with yaab? Its totally different. Wp-Robot also does not support RSS.

Yaab is still VERY good, and its the only one which supports keywords PLUS pulling from RSS feeds. I did/do a lot with autoblogs and you can believe me that yaab is a very powerful autoblogger.

As for the author - i actually emailed him. Without going into private details, due to personal reasons the author doesn't have the time to support and further develop yaab anymore.

WP-Robot supports RSS, as of a couple of days ago. It's not a wildly cheap plugin, but once it's set up it can be left to it's own devices while it pays for itself, which doesn't take all that long. I wouldn't be without it now.

autoblogged.com is a great autoblogging plugin, as is wp-robot. Commercial, but they both work and are updated and supported.

I had YAAB installed on one of my blogs as a test. I removed it because it's not
worth it to me to use YAAB. There are a lot of ad's that have that authors' (YAAB's)
affiliate ID, and this completely dropped the profits for that blog. I've gone back to
my orginal method of posting content, and profits are climbing their way back. It will
be some time next year at this rate before profits are back to what they used to be.

You get what you pay for.

I completely agree with you. This is why I prefer alternate methods of
providing content to my blog empire.

This is a huge disadvantage of free plugins, there's no incentive to update
the code as WordPress is updated. You then face a stark choice... Leave
your WP version as it stands, with your plugin still working... or update your
WP, with a lag time before the plugin is updated before it starts working
again. To this day, I still haven't got a plugin to get the targetting of posts
100% correct. I have to go in and delete/edit posts.

Hey thanks a bunch. I downloaded that script back when it was first posted, and like a lot of other things I forgot I had it and it just collected "DD". Well now I can use it.

Both look good but which one is more robust or configurable? Do they both handle say ... ebay,amazon or allposter feeds?
