I need your thoughts about this !!

Hey warriors ,

I signed up with one of the IM , and he is sending me emails every day,
broadcasting the same email twice a day and most of it are offers and products.

I really don't like this at all , but I am just checking out how he manages his list .

What do you think of this , is it right or wrong ??
give me your thoughts

Thanks

Personally, it's not the way I would manage a list. But if it's working for him then who are we to say that it's not right? I would think that he'd have more success if he provided at least a little bit of value in between his pitches, but not really our say.

How did you get on this list? Just curious.

    Hey Eric
I see your point here ... He is successful , and I think it is working for him .

For me it is really annoying to see emails from him everyday , and he is most of the time selling .

I know others may disagree with me here and think it is ok .

I'd be careful about putting his name out there like that, it's not exactly fair to him. People talk about "training" their lists, so that's something he's probably got his list used to.

Does he offer anything as a bonus if you purchase through him? I don't even mind the pitching so much if I'm given a reason to buy from that person, like extra training for the product or even another product that compliments the one he is promoting.

You might want to read the rules sticky again, paying particular attention to rule #1.

There is no right or wrong for how often you email your list or how often you send them promos. If you don't care for his style and find it annoying, it takes only 1-2 seconds to unsubscribe.

Perhaps he has found a solution that works for him depending on what he recommends. If paid money for one of his products then he may see you as a lead that may be interested in buying similar services. Personally I prefer soft sell, but if he has a long-term reputation then he may well know what he's doing and therefore it must work for him, if he is rather unknown then perhaps he's just doing trial and error, the same as anyone should probably do.

If he is doing trial and error then things will change, either way, even if you are getting 3x emails from him a day, aren't you going to get some ideas about what to promote or suggest? hell let him do some of the market research for you.

Thanks Ben for you reply ,

I agree with you that I am getting some ideas of what to promote .

I think I should look at this in totally different angle .

      Thanks again

Are you asking if it is right or wrong to check out how me manages his list?

Either way, it's up to you whether you like it or not. I subscribe to a handful of lists, mostly to keep my finger on the pulse and see what marketing ploys people are using.

I do the same, and you can learn a lot (even if it is just what not to do) There is more than one way to build and manage a list - different strokes for different folks. When it comes to building a list of your own you should do what works for you and suits your personality.

In the meantime I would suggest setting up some email filters so that those emails go directly into a folder marked 'crap' :p
