Hi guys

Just looking for some help regarding a domain i want to buy.
I'm starting a text business but the name i want is taken ggrrrr

I wanted the word textwizard so does it matter for seo reasons if i just use txtswizard instead? Obviously its pronounced the same but spelt wrong.

Regards

Dave

It DOES matter, very much! You will rank for txts wizard. This probably is a much lower search volume. You will be giving up the exact match domain advantage. Instead, consider textwizards with the new .co suffix. That should do it. Also, I've been able to rank hyphenated domain names without difficulty. Hope this helps you out.

You should have the keyword(s) you want to rank for in your domain name, try putting words in front or after like -- thetextwizard or textwizardproject if you cant get the exact domain name you want.

There is a domain name tool I use when trying to come up with names, you add keywords and it comes back with available suggestions.

I would not want to build a website around a wrong spelling. Confuses people and makes you look like you just can't spell. Not a good start for a business. Plus as others pointed out, won't help you get ranked.
I would just add another keyword to it or choose another name.

Not a good idea, also textwizard.com will benefit from all of your hard work for txtwizard.com.

If you are trying to gain SEO advantage in UK that would be a fine choice. If you are trying to get out there worldwide I'd stick to .com, .net and .org.
