Wanted - Some feedback on a new software

Its in beta right now, but pretty close to completion. The software will give you 200 plus hot keywords, and will allow you to automatically check if they are profitable, by searching for high paying products, and calculation based on clicks available whether you can make money from it.

The idea is to help beginners find niches quickly. Rather than lose money learning the hard way.

I can't see the words??

Plus a "runtime error -91" at the end.

I'm a computer science student And I have also some bckground in internet marketing and niche research

Uploading a new installer now. Some characters that are included in hot searched keywords can throw the Google checks. Which resulted in the error. I have adjusted the filter in the source to deal with those characters.

I installed the software on Windows XP. When it was installing I got a few language conflict errors because the language in a few of the .dll files it tried to install was Spanish and the ones on my system are in English. I also had the problem of not being able to see any of the data because the font was white on a white background.

Also, do you have any manual or help files for this software?

I will get a new build to fix the colors issue and will replace the files that were in Spanish (I am working in Spain ... hence that issue).

Fixed Issues

Hmm... Actually kind of cool. I like the proxy list feature :P But... why do you need to go through proxies? (Also, I'm curious, how are you updating your list of proxies, and are you simply scraping data? Programatically -- won't you run into difficulty if say, down the road google (assuming you are getting it from there) revises their webpage/info?)

PS, clicking on 'hotkeywords' gives me an error. Says "Line 186: Syntax Error". (Are you doing this in C++/VB/Delphi?)

I can't duplicated the Syntax error here. Can you let me know if it happens again, and at what point in the search process?

Regarding proxies, its to ensure if there is a high volume use of the software that the sites providing the data don't put a temporary IP block ... which is pretty common right now.

Really cool tool...

I was analyzing 11 keywords after clearing everything that wasn't checked and got:

runtime error '380' : Invalid property value


This is running on a Vista laptop in stealth mode.

I'll try a few other searches and see if I can duplicate.

I was going to download, and give some feedback, however it seems your site is down at the moment.

Current Beta Build 3.0 Released 5 February, 2009

Summary of changes from Build 2.0:

This build addresses the issues reported by some users regarding some required international dll and ocx files being installed.

The software now recognises and can automatically adapt if illegal characters appear in keywords, that would usually cause Google Adwords to reject the keyword. The illegal character is stripped out, and the keyword is checked without it.

Refresh now results in updating of Adwords Cost, Clicks Per Day (and if already analyzed) the Profit or Loss field is updated.

New right click option to edit a Clickbank Product (the logic here is that some returned products may not be a marketers choice, by inputting the product details the Profit or Loss can be adjusted) .... this is not complete so only works on one selected Keyword. Feature to be completed 6 Feb

The word spy is missspelled in the domain name.

Hi Ewan,

Looks great! It has more features than the Micro Niche Finder (the stealth mode alone is a big help, compared to this) and works differently from the Market Samurai (which has great other features, too, like finding articles on the niches you drill down).
It's a quality tool, certainly not only for beginners. Who doesn't need to find niches, especially in combination with all these market details?

This is a very nice tool that Chris is developing. He's taking our input and acting on it very quickly. All indicators are that this will be a tool you'll want, use and find to be very effective. Given his response to our input, I believe his support will be top notch as well.

Hi Easy, I am playing around now with the software - it has some really neat features and will probably be worth the price you are asking.

Question: I am entering some keywords that I know are very expensive and getting results with very low adword costs that I know are not right (for example, be in the 4-7 poistion for only 19 cents for "buy viagra"). I am wondering if I am doing something wrong - is there a tutorial or instructions for doing searches the right way?

* Max CPC i am willing to pay
* Minimum position ID I will accept
* Min clicks per day I will accept
One or more of the three criteria may be checked then I want all the keywords that I can bid on meeting these criteria
Also it stays at "i am busy spying please wait" for a looong time. really need a way to cancel the operation after a set amount of time - manual cancel - or "spy only for 3 minutes" and then run in the background thread without affecting user interface - is that that hard to do?

We will be working on spped next in the software. The features you mention are good, and I will be looking at the second option of Min Position, and Min Clicks. The problem is that at the start that might limit too much the brain juices needed to select which keywords to then widen a search on.

But I know where you are coming from. Definitely good ideas.

These would be some nice extra features, which by the way micro niche finder dosen't have at this time.

I agree, the "i am busy spying please wait" does stay on screen way too long and seems to affect the software's performance.

I'm busy stays on screen while different things are happening behind the scenes. It doesnt affect the performance, in fact if it wasnt there you would have to wait for the other tasks to complete first.

Would it help if the it's busy updated you with what its doing? And showed some animation? When you compare with other tools they typically only give 1 result at a time, whereas this is looking at 200 plus keywords which takes time to calculate.
