Amazon clicks report delayed by more than a day?

Hey everyone. I got around 700 clicks on my Amazon links from 7search yesterday (DEC 10). However, this morning I checked my Tracking ID summary on Amazon and it shows only a bit over 100 clicks for DEC 10, with 2 of my tracking IDs not in the report at all even though they both got more than 100 clicks each. I am about 99% positive that my links are set up correctly because there is data displayed for them from earlier dates.

So what exactly is the problem here? Are Amazon's tracking reports late by more than 1 day at the moment? Because 600 missing clicks out of 700 total is a pretty big number..

Amazon stats usually get bogged down during the busy holiday season. They will probably show on the next update.

Yes, I'm aware that there's a one day delay. Every morning i check my stats for the previous day and today I noticed that my click reports from 7search and Amazon did not match other. Not even close. about 600 missing clicks.

Sojourn, yes, 7search is a PPC program. The first scenario that you descried is the correct one. I am not using landing pages. I have about 4 different Amazon campaigns on 7search and each one of them is direct-linked, with a unique tracking ID. The links lead to Amazon's home page. Yesterday, the combined amount of clicks that they received on 7search was about 700. Today in the morning i checked my Amazon clicks report for yesterday and about 600 clicks were missing. The Amazon report was also missing two tracking IDs, each of which received 100+ clicks yesterday.

I have another campaign with Adwords where i'm advertising my aStore. It got 20 clicks yesterday according to Google and those are also missing from today's Amazon report.

I am hoping that it's some kind of delay due to the holiday season. Otherwise, i am not sure what to think/do.

I can't imagine that if the person clicked yesterday that there would be some sort of delay in the reporting only because the click came through 7search. That would seem odd. Since I'm not aware of any reporting issues for Amazon for yesterday's results, I would think it's something else like the 7search platform, the 7search reports, or the links so I guess I would do the following:
        • double check that the links you used in your ads are working using the link checker in your Amazon Associate dash
        • double check that you're reading the 7Search reports correctly
        • check Amazon TOS and 7Search TOS and make sure that your campaign didn't violate the terms of either company
        • contact 7Search and see if they can explain the discrepancy
        • contact Amazon and see if they can explain the discrepancy
        • post a note on the Amazon Associates Discussion board asking if anyone has had any issues with 7search and Amazon campaigns
        • do a search in Google for anyone who might have had a similar issue - maybe look for "7search ad amazon clicks" or tracking, etc

        Good luck!

My reports from yesterday are balanced. The # of clicks on the orders report equals the number of clicks on the Tracking Id Summary reports. I don't see anything off and am not aware of a delay in today's Amazon reporting.

You said you got the clicks from 7search, which is a PPC program, right? Are you saying that you had 700 clicks on your 7search ads and that your affiliate link was used in the ad so that each ad click should have counted as an Amazon click or were there landing pages in between your ads and your Amazon links? Just trying to help you figure out where the disconnect might be.

Ah, well the link checker cleared it up for me. None of the links were tagged properly apparently, which is a bit weird since I created them using the same exact method that I used to create my links for the Cyber Monday campaign. And the Cyber Monday links are still good! Which is bizarre since they lead to the same exact page that I used when i was creating my new links..

But anyway, thanks Sojourn! Now I see what my problem was..

Glad you found the issue but sorry about the wasted day of campaigns on those links. That's no fun.

BTW, have a friend in Patchogue. C-c-cold out your way at the moment!
