Product pages/WSOs look like each other?

I'm fairly new to the IM scene and I've noticed something peculiar. It seems a helluva lot of product pages have this distinct style of headers with the same font as each other, red text inside black text, and yellow highlight on that red text. I've checked a few hundred products on Clickbank to find one to promote and I've noticed this same style over and over.

The thing is, I've also seen the same exact style on the WSO thread and the Warriors for Hire thread.

What gives? Are there some big time sales letters/squeeze pages providers delivering all these things?

A couple examples are Forexwhileyouwork.com and http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors...ges-added.html. These products have font styles exactly the same as a LOT of other products. I know there are best practices when it comes to the use of headers, bullet points, etc., but I really wonder how their font and highlight choice can also be exactly the same.

P.S. For the WF example, its headers are identical to literally dozens of products I've seen. Is this just some sort of trend that Internet marketers follow?
#pages or wsos #product

I think the fonts are hand of Sean and Impact. Good choices IMO.. looks contemporary and grabs attention.

The use of the colour red causes the eye to focus, so you're naturally forced to look at it. Same reason why some women wear red dresses, because red gets more eyeballs.

What probably happened was someone had a very successful launch using Hand of Sean, other people copied... then more people copied.. or used the same software and it's become one of those IM things that a lot of people do because it worked for one or two people.

Or it could just be because it's a great font.

Keen eye you have! Keep in mind that it's not really a matter of marketers being lazy, it's a matter of good marketers knowing WHAT WORKS.

There's formula that good marketers follow (and for those that aren't good sales page writers or good copywriters they are at least smart enough to "copy" what the big boys do).

When persons are trying to launch a product, they're not looking to re-invent the wheel so-to-speak when it comes to presenting their pitch. What works works.

So when you notice that a lot of the formatting, structure, and overall presentation follows a common thread amongst the various WSOs and other other offerings, it's not by accident -- it's by design!

Actually, I don't agree with that.

I think you will find it is the great marketers who SET these trends, not follow them. By the time everyone else comes along, copies the same style and it becomes popularized, the great marketers have already moved on to something that works even better.

First there was the text sales letter. By the time these became popular the great marketers were out there using video sales letters instead. When everyone started using video sales letters all the great marketers had already moved on to using webinars. Now that webinars are becoming more popular you can bet your bottom dollar the great marketers are already out there testing other sales techniques.

Usually when these techniques become popularized they also become less effective. The trick is to always be testing and coming up with new and creative ways to sell your products.

When your sales page looks exactly the same as all those other products on Clickbank and the like then it can actually work against you as customers who have had bad experiences with products using similar sales pages will usually be even more skeptical about purchasing your product.

Great marketers don't follow the trends... they set them.

Yes, there are a few softwares available both freely and paid that create those amazing sales letters with a small black or blue heading and read main heading!!!!
Plus guarantee generators, graphics and banner designers...

I suppose they're using the same software. That would explain why even the highlights, arrows, etc. are identical.

On that note, sales letters with autoplay videos are infinitely annoying. Can anyone stop THAT trend?
