What Kind of Link Building Do you Recommend?

Hey Guys/Gals

What links do you think I should be building that will help my sight out that was ranked number 1 and now ranked 800+ My on-page SEO is great and I'm only targeting 3 keywords that are not too competitive.

Also, do you think building 100 links a day to a 3 month old sight is too much?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Jason

    Yes....

Can you manually build links that quick? If the answer is no then I reckon you will get penalised..

You need to look natural and I always use a "steady Eddie" approach to SEO and that has never let me down....

Especially on a relatively new site I would look at building 10 links a day (good quality) and slowly ramp it up.

      I don't understand this.

      Penalised in what way? why?

If he sends out 1 press release a day and uploads one video a day to sharing sites - he'll get hundreds, possibly thousands of links - why would he get penalised?

I get tens of thousands of links a month to my sites and have never - ever been penalised.

Yes..... But I meant using other techniques....

Building effectively 3000 links in a month when a site is only 3 months old is going to raise flags....

Yes you can release press releases and videos and they are all great quality links but most people on the WF say they can build 100 links a day wont use press releases they will use scrapebox or whatever else......

Building 3000 low quality links is not what i would recommend

Yeah but those are viral relevant links. I'm assuming he meant bombing a whole lot of low quality links to his money site, BAD IDEA.

your site is probably an authority site, a huge site at that .

If your website is only 3 months old, it might be just jumping around in the search engines (known as the Google Dance). It will go from the first page to the 100th page. It may even disappear. Keep building links gradually to your website.

If you are not using spammy link building techniques, the above reason I explained is probably why your website is no longer ranking as well as before.

100 links a day is a bit much for a website that is only 3 months old and I don't really know if you can build that many quality backlinks in that time frame.

You should better go for quality instead of quantity.

I would prefer to go for authority sites in my niche and get some links there (maybe write a guest blog somewhere?)

Consistency in small numbers is much better than going all out once and being very inconsistent. You have to remember that one of the keys of marketing is to have patience and to stick to your marketing plan.

Therefore, you must develop a long term perspective when it comes to your marketing efforts. Design a written marketing statement and commit to that plan for at least 6 months, and this would include link building.

3 months is simply not enough time to get significant results. Once again, patience and consistency are the key.

If I may just jump in slightly here as I'm in a similar situation...

What if there was a high number of quality backlinks being built on a consistent basis? Would this harm the site?

And if links are being built for a specific keyword, but Google deem the links to have been built too quickly or whatever they decide, will they dump the rankings for just that one keyword, or for the whole site, regardless of the keyword?

If you onsite SEO is good then you should not have problem to rank in within 5 page.
All you need is index more in the search engine.
100 backlink per day is still reasonable but you need to do it consistence in order to get result.
Sometimes is not the amount of link but is the quality of the link. You should build quality in related site and high PR site to provide your more weight in one link.

Think over EDU and GOV backlinks, dofollow backlinks, backlinks from high PR sites.
Also, you need to gain some G+1 votes.
