how do I set up a site like fiverr

Hi All,

I've been thinking - I really want to set up a site just like fiverr.
I don't want to create a website that will be offering the same as fiverr does but I really love the design - how clean and simple it is and I really want to have this as a template for my eCommerce site.

Where do i find / buy the fiverr theme?

I'd really appreciate your help.

    You can go to just about any freelancing site such as eLance.com, etc. and just post an ad stating that you want a site that looks like Fiverr. You'll have all kinds of people bidding for the job, I would assume.

    I'm not sure what it would cost but it shouldn't be hard to find someone who can do it.

    If you use WordPress as your ecommerce platform, there are "fiverr" themes available, e.g. WordPress Pricerr Theme | SiteMile.com

    There may be others, check Google.

    You can go to just about any articles website.just publish an ad unveiling that you want a website that looks like Fiverr. You'll have all types of individuals companies for the job, I would believe.

      Yes, I also recoment this one, also running fiverr's clone on this script. But before you start, thing about this: Copy a business is now just copy a software. I had also one day i-want-own-fiverr madness. But now it is gone, as I'm lazy to make marketing for that, becouse I will be still number 2

        Yeah, it's the whole marketing behind Fiverr that has made it successful. But I'm sure Sues recognizes that, and she's really just looking for the design.

    You can also check out biverr. I bought it some time ago but haven't really played around with it so I cannot vouch for it.

    EDIT: It looks like that has been shut down from other posts I have read (I'm currently behind a brutal firewall at work).

    There many clones, scripts, and themes for sites like fiverr.

    You can also develop your own if you have a good budget (through freelancers sites).

      Personally I think it would look stupid to have an e-commerce site based upon a fiverr template.

      It might demonstrate that perhaps you don't have the scope to be original, which I'm sure isn't the case.

      I'd suggest only borrowing as much as fiverrs colours.

    As others have pointed out, you can buy the Fiverr script. But there are so many of the clones out there. What will you offer that is unique to get the business?

    Remember that it is not just the site design you have to consider but the programming behind the system. For example when someone clicks to buy a product, what system is in place to make the transaction go through and the person to receive messages etc

    Sue,

    I visited the link that you provided to your site. You may want to consider migrating to a faster hosting company. Your product page took a while to load. Half of your visitors will abandon the site if the page takes longer than 2 to 3 seconds to load.

    Another thought would be to segment your "Success Note" products into categories offered over multiple pages via a drop down menu. This would improve performance as well and your abandonment rate would likely diminish.

    I see that you have google analytics installed. Not sure if you are reviewing all of the data they supply.

    You might try an A/B split test on your "Success Notes" page - one with less product versus all of the products to truly see if it does improve your abandonment rate.

    Just type - "wordpress theme like fiverr". Search for it. You will get many suggestions. Take your time to look at them. You will have to pay for such a theme. I usually don't rush when looking for a theme.

      Just like any niche, after setting up, you need a lot of work to encourage people to sign up to your site and offere services. But everything is possible so don't lose hope!
