Facebook help? Anyone?

Hey all,

Does anyone have experience with Facebook and embedded videos?

My problem is -- sometimes I post youtube videos embedded in my blog posts. When people "like" this page, the video does not show on that person's FB wall as a thumbnail. When you "like" the post, it randomly scrapes a pic from my site, not what I want.

Preferably I'd have those videos play on a person's FB wall, so others can spread and I'll hopefully get those all important social signals to my page.

Any help is much appreciated!

Likes don't have an accompanying thumbnail. It'll simply say 'so and so likes a link on your page'. But if they share your link, then it will have a thumbnail to go along with it.

Facebook has a set of meta tags that it looks at to decide which image to show. The key one for the Facebook image is: <meta property="og:image" content="http://[your image link]"/>

Yes, I agree on what marcuslim said. "Likes" just tell who like your post and the thumbnail will only appear if it's shared.

Fb has this feature now called top stories and from what I believe that the post will be shown from those who are top friends kind of like myspace top ten. I was reading a thread on this a while ago so I'm not 100% sure but I have noticed that.

It doesn't work like that. If you have a video embedded on your blog post and someone likes it, it will only say on fb for example Joe has liked how to... but if you post the video on your wall and someone likes it, then that will show a thumbnail of the video which can be played if clicked on.
