Internet Marketing in 10 Years. What Do You Think?

Hi!

As we all know, Internet marketing is changing constantly.

For example: Only in the last few years the social networks have provided new opportunities for IM that has not been possible before.

So how do you think Internet marketing evolves in 10 years?

What new opportunities will we get? Will the customers' confidence to our current methods deteriorate?

It will keep growing without a doubt. I'm seeing more and more people doing IM full-time in the future.

Definitely a lot of new and unique opportunities will arise as there are some as we speak. As for the customers' confidence, it's up to us. Depending on how we deal with our customers, will result differently. If we give them a reason to trust us, then things will keep getting better.

I see it will keep getting bigger and bigger. And I think our customers will still keep buying. Its all a number game still and most likely always will be.

    This is a great Question,

The way that I see it personally, Internet Marketing as a whole Will definitely Grow! As we all know society is consistently advancing with software and products as a whole for example, iPhone, Android, Kindle, Nook, Xbox, iPad, etc. the list can go on for days!

    I see it like this,

Customers confidence will never deteriorate from our methods, they we always be useful, BUT the sources in which those methods will be implemented will.. I say this because some people market what they do via Social networking such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. but as we all know, here in a couple years those sites will become the underdog compared to a new social networking site created by someone else. Advancement will always take place so it is in our best interest that we stay up with it

    Hope this helps,

I can't even imagine. When people were asking this same question 10 years ago I'm sure their vision was nothing like how it actually turned out. You'd have to think that the opportunities will steadily increase but will probably take a lot of gradual adapting.

Who knows what resources we will even have at our disposal. With all of the tablets and increase in mobile internet browsing, standard computers as we know them may very well go the way of the floppy disk.

Interesting to think about, for sure.

It’s only going to get bigger. Just think of a world where everyone can work from home, on their schedule without fighting rush hour traffic just to sit in an office & make someone else money…. What a wonderful world that would be! J

I would say based on the current technology apps are going to get very big. I still think there will be a steady demand for articles, ebooks and reports though. The Kindle shows that even with all this new technology coming to the market, there is still a very big demand for reading ebooks.

However, in 10 years time tablets and apps could be old news. We could all be working off holograms controlled by the power of our mind .

i honestly think we are in the golden ages at the minute and have seen a lot of great stuff, i also believe that a lot of this is going to be run by corporations in 10 years there wont be much room for the small guy, i strongly think that a lot of SERP results will be in favor of corporations in the future sheesh you can see evidence of this happening already!

i think it will turn into more of a service industry than in information industry. in the last few years, the noise level of IM products has drastically increased. hell, its even getting hard for me to sort it all out sometimes, and i have a ton of experience.

in the last 16 or so years, i have watched the amount of quality free information about IM grow at an alarming rate. this coupled with the globalization has lead to a decrease in the average price for most info products.

i think the idea of getting rich selling just info products is going to get tougher and tougher.

i see results oriented service gaining more and more traction.

    other major themes will be:

mobile (for many years), stronger government intervention and regulation, the "fake it until you make it" guys have a harder time breaking in, tribes will be even more important (seth godin), and a resurgence of a few pioneers that facilitate the consolidation in the IM industry.

It will keep growing and growing. Barrier to entry will become lower and lower. But you can bet the same weapons of persuasion we use today will still be pretty much the same. Human psychology doesn't change much.
