Google backlink count vs. link tracking software
Always been bothered by this but never been able to come up with an answer for myself.
When tracking the number of backlinks my website has, the software I use has far more counted than what Google counts.
Should I be worried about this? I mean, if I have 340 domains linking to my website, according to the software I use, and only 80 domains linking to my website according to Google, isn't that a huge difference that could be the reason I am not ranking for certain keywords despite by diligent SEO efforts?
Is Google not counting a number of those links for some reason, or simply doing a terrible job indexing?
