When I think of preselling, I think of articles such as the ones featured on the double your dating website. There are quite a few articles there, and each one seems to share a technique.

My concern is, since he's selling a bunch of products, how does he find enough techniques to share and sell without overlapping? I sell information products of my own and have articles to promote them, but don't share nearly as much techniques before the sale as he does (perhaps this is a mistake on my part).

Can you folks share your examples of what you think are good presell messages?

I like the idea of telling people what NOT to do... then leading them to your product which tells them what to do.

Of as Jimmy Brown says "partial but incomplete" so you can tell them the 'what to do' but not the exact 'how to do' it.

Haven't been to Double Your Dating in a while... worth a revisit methinks!

There are lots of good preselling examples.

Remember quality info first, to get the trust, then sell them softly. That has always worked for us in teh past and will get the best results.

Great idea - I'm going to try a lot of those "what not to do" articles.

Yes, more and more I'm learning from you warriors that earning people's trust is the way to go.

Another tip is to focus on 'mistake' articles. So you'd write an article about common mistakes people make in your niche.

An example of a headline could be:
"Do you make these 'x' number of mistakes in [your niche]?"
          OR
"The top 'x' mistakes that people make in [your niche]"

Humans are curious creatures - we always want to know if we've done something wrong so these types of articles and headlines should attract a lot of curious eyeballs.

          Best of luck.

          Logic outweighs all.

    Some fair points made.
Info products are becoming increasingly difficult to sell so its worth considering Amazon etc for physical products.

I have always found that giving the reader the answers they are looking for in the keyword search to be vital. Do this in a pyramid way where you conclude first.

If we can have the reader thinking to themselves "if I don't read this I am going to be missing out on something" then your work is usually done. Not too many affiliate links either.

Good luck to you and all of us I think.

    Cheers
