Internet Marketing Changes You'll Make in 2012

Happy New Year! So, what Internet marketing changes will you make this New Year. What will you do less of? More of? cut out or start doing?

I want to automate more, outsource more and hire 2 more employees (that should bring the global unemployment numbers down, right?).

For the past year or so, I have been dedicating myself to writing articles for other people. While I still intend to do that next year as well, I want to expand my business and learn other ways of earning money.

So next year, I will be striving to improve my skills in website building and marketing. I want to learn all about attracting more people to sites that I make and how to monetize it. I want to figure out how to make a decent passive income so that I can enjoy even more freedom in terms of scheduling so that I can live life to the fullest! Fun times!

Happy New Year to you too!

For me, I'm already evaluating the time wasters and profit leaks and purging those. It really comes down to getting focused and staying focused. And, I'd also like to take a few new leaps in other areas where I've been hesitant in online marketing. Video marketing is something that I need to utilize and haven't.

Ah! Time wasters and profit leaks. A constant challenge we all face. Good idea to look into video marketing, it's poised to get even bigger in 2012, in fact it will dominate.

Treat IM as a 9-5 job and not as a hobby.

At the moment, I spend too much time farting about (probably on WF) when I should be spending it doing something to boost my income.

Narrowing the number of projects on which I focus to 3 to 4.

Started local affiliate/referral marketing for local businesses at the end of 2011 which will be a big focus for me in 2012.

I will also dedicate more time to listbuilding.

For specific articles/topics, I'm hiring researchers and writers for content. It's been a success so far (started late in 2011). I hope to continue with this going forward as it's working, but I pay a bit of a premium ($20 to $60 per article).

Am doing some PPC for local affiliate projects (a new traffic generation method for me).

I'd like to make improvements instead of changes.

    These would include:
    - Directing traffic to a squeeze page to build my opt-in list.
    - Open up new avenues of creating passive income.
    - Improve my time management (especially when I'm trying to balance university and IM)
    - Treat IM as a business so that I'll never have to work 9-5 job.
    - Take action each and everyday - knowing that it only takes repetition of simple actions each and everyday to create a "full-time income"

Wishing you the best in 2012.

    Logic outweighs all.

I'll be hiring more people to write articles for cheap from places like fiverr, and starting forums instead of blogs because user generated content is great.

Setting minimum daily expectations to meet as to keep things moving, even when I don't feel like doing much.

1000 words a day - articles, books, ebooks, reports, etc... whatever.

I have started implementing an affiliate program for my PLR store to allow me to spend more time creating and less time marketing, while maintaining or increasing my income.

I finally got around to actually capturing emails of my buyers, silly thing to not put a priority on until now.

I need to start video marketing more and also build a bigger presence on social media outlets. I know that people are starting to get over the whole social media phase a bit but I've learned about too many IMers on Facebook and whatnot that it's time to put more effort into that.

I will start to make a blog next year and continue to update it with fresh and unique contents. I have to improve my SEO knowledge and to follow the rules of Google correctly. I will stop what I'm doing before so that google will not penalized me next year..

For me it's gonna be staying more focus with the goals that i set out for myself. Though i got a bit side tracked early this year, i was able to come back on track by reminding myself why i started those goals in the first place.

Next year, i'll be narrowing down my goals so that i can concentrate on building two or maybe three strategies, which i'm most passionate about well. This way, my time won't be spread out too thin and it will give me better options with orgenizing my time.

We're going to spend much less time on website visibility techniques that don't deliver lasting results, and link building projects that simply don't pay off such as Web 2.0 sites that in some cases the major search engines don't seem to value much from an authority standpoint as compared to business profile sites.

Submitting to search engine directories and web directories is primarily a waste of time we've found unless they're human edited directories, so the change will be to bypass most search engine directories, and upgrade the quality of linking partners for new sites. Also, we're going to learn more about social bookmarking to learn how it is used more effectively and legitimately.

So far, I have only focused on offering services. Once 2012 rolls around, I will start selling as an affiliate (via article marketing). I would prefer that my business was more passive so that I can put everything I have into school.

2012 will just be more of the same as in previous years. More niches, more writers, more articles, more syndicated publishers, more sales ...
