A way to build a list with Facebook ads

I built a list of 6k double optin subscribers with Facebook ads and I'll show you what I did. Put aweber code into the landing page format, the one I was using you can get for free at viralebookexplosion.com. Design your landing page with their editor and set up a free offer.

I did a free ebook on the niche I was doing, so they have to optin to get the free offer, could be a report or a video. Then they are on your list. Make an fb ad saying something like. "Get a free ebook on how to build a subscriber list on Facebook" or whatever, with a good looking and relevant pic and target your specific audience with the interests targeting feature and test ads to get a good ctr.

Now you just have to monetize the list which is a whole another story. For the 2nd email you could put something like, "hey, I just wanted to thank your for joining my list and hope your enjoying your free ebook, by the way I though you may be interested in this (affiliate product)" you get the idea.

Remember you can set up an autoresponder to send an email every 3 days or so, with say 2/3 good free content (could be other peoples) and 1/3 recommended and relevant affiliate products from clickbank or where ever else. Play around with the system and you could be a very happy camper. Good luck! Any other ideas or suggestions please post and let us know what could add or improve upon this.

Sorry to bring an old thread up, but considering this thread is about what I was going to start a new thread on, I thought there's no point starting a new one.

Basically, surely to create a 6,000 list, it would cost you... $125-$250? Using Facebook Ads? Correct.

My question is who has used Facebook Ads (besides the OP) to create a list.

Also, slightly unrelated but what % of a Freebie List would you expect to be buyers of short reports?

its great that your saying build a list through facebook, building a list is always a great move however....

if you include more information like

how much you spent on getting x amount of subscribers

what your opt in rate conversion was

did you use a OTO after opt in and if so how many sales did you make, what price point did you use and how many OTO sales did you make per 100 opt ins

sharing information like this would make the thread much more interesting and helpful

heck i might even do it myself ;-)
