Best route to build a quality affiliate network for my new eBook?

I just finished my new eBook about the newest well known social media giant that recently opened its door to business pages.

I have a PR 1 site with a few hundred visitors a week. I'm looking to build a quality affiliate network to sell my eBook.

My question is directed to the more experienced ones. What is the best route to take for building a network of a few good affiliates?

I'm using e-junkie as a platform to sell my eBook. I already have affiliate links set up that I can provide to affiliates to identify themselves.

What is the average commission rate for an eBook? Obviously higher is better, but what is a good medium percentage or even dollar amount that would keep affiliates interested?

Thank you for your help.

Instead of starting by seeing what you can take from
affiliates, look for the most successful affiliates in your
niche and see what you could do to help them.

Your initial task should be to give as much help as you
can. Build a strong working relationship with them. And
then... when they have begun to know and trust you,
you'll get a much better response.

That's some good advise John. I've been trying to be involved with my community as much as I can to build a name for myself.

    Hey jkennedy,

My best advise you is to offer 75% commissions, and preferable over $100 per sale if you can. I would suggest having the ebook as your front end offer for like $39 to $69 dollars, then maybe convert the ebook to a video course and have an upsell for like $199. This will put over $150 directly into your affiliates pockets, keeping them happy, and make them continue to send you traffic.

As far as building your affiliate base, you need to obviously have a great offer in place that converts and makes sales everyday. But once you do that, offering 75% commission will get maybe to promote you.

To recruit them, you need to create a JV page like the one you see in my sig file. Then once you've got that, just simply drive traffic to your JV page, collect the affiliate lead and email them to remind them about blasting your product to their email lists.

It will obviously start out slow, but with time, your affiliate base will grow quite large and will be a massive source of cash for you.

Yea, I'm not anywhere near those numbers yet, but all in due time. I'm not sure that affiliates are the best way to go with an eBook, but I wanted to see what people may have tried in times past.

What I really need is to drive more organic traffic to my website. I've been doing A LOT, I mean really working hard. My website is PR1 on Google, but the search traffic is basically nonexistent. A few trickle in per day, but this is a whole other thread (which I am about to start).

Affiliate marketing is very powerful, this I know. But how to apply it is the question I am faced with.

One of problems, as it is for many, is that my funds are too limited at the moment to promote using paid sources for driving traffic. I'm having to stick with free methods at the moment.

Of course, as soon as I make money, I will turn it around to use paid promotion such as ClickBank.

You can set it up on JVZoo and they take a small percentage of every sale. It's free to set up and affiliates come to you! I used it on my most recent WSO and I love it. : )

Clickbank isn't a promotional method, it is a payment processing company which has internalized affiliate support, not to mention a gigantic marketplace for affiliates to find your product.

So if you are looking to affiliate something, utilizing Clickbank is immensely important, often to the extent to being able to make or break a product.

Thanks, I'll definitely give it a whirl. I'm a fan of Clickbank, just can't handle the upfront cost. This looks awesome.

When I said promotional method I was referring more to the affiliate side of it. I have my eBook listed on e-junkie for payment processing, but eventually I'd like to have it on Clickbank as well.

I would def look up ClickBank and study as much as possible about how to best utilize that platform. CB will greatly help you in putting your product out there.

      Best of luck.
