Need help with 2 payment option problem (recurring payments)

Hi everyone,

Love this forum. I'm a BIG time lurker here :-) but post every now and then.
Mostly because I have a lot to learn and don't always feel I have the proper
knowledge to share/help.

Anywho, I was wondering if someone could help me or offer me a solution.

I have a product called ATM Business Blueprint and I offer 2 payment options.

1 payment of $297 or
2 payments of $167 each.

Most everyone takes the 1 payment option, but have had a handful of
2 payment option folks.

However, today was my first day where I had a 2 payment option persons'
2nd payment NOT go through.

So, I'm wondering a few things:

1) Am I allowed to attempt to run their card anytime I want at future dates?
2) I'm assuming, if this was planned on the customers part, which I have no
idea if it was or wasn't, that he technically could have downloaded everything
from the course last month. So even though I have already cancelled his
membership, he may not care?

So, is there a way to prevent pdf's, forms, audios and videos from being
downloaded? Actually, I made the audios SPECIFICALLY to be downloaded,
but you see my dilemma.

I know it's just $167 but it really ticks me off.

But my question is basically, besides what I've already asked, is there
something that can be done about this type of problem or is it just
the cost of doing business sometimes when offering 2 payment methods?

Oh and if you want to check out the site to see how I describe the 2 payment
option (maybe I need to adjust the wording? No idea about that?)
