After 4 years doin' affiliate, I just heard this and AGREE !

My buddy, Aiman met me.
And we both chit chatting about our online business.
Suddenly I say something about Clickbank and, Aiman said this.

"RK, you know what, every courses out there about affiliate had the same and common value. Do you know what it is?"

I said, I don't know.

Then Aiman said,
"Every courses is teaching about the most basic thing in affiliate marketing"

"Get the right target"

Wow...! Even though it was very short, but it hit right to my modulla oblongata .

Yeah, I agree, that affiliate marketing and business had a complex strategy to follow.

But, by grabbing the basic concept of selling, it makes your brain digest the processes easier !

Just my 2 cents.

Seems so basic, but often overlooked.

Thats the kind of thing more experienced people ask in first place:

Is there a market for this product?
    How many people?
    What's the normal profit rate?
Can we get into the market?
    At what cost?
    Etc etc etc

But vast majority of IM'ers tend to focus on "tech" details - not in marketing.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

The most important points are normally the most simplistic ones to remember. We can all sell, but if the market we target does not buy anything, why waste time on it?

Sadly, so many do, and then go away disillusioned, when they could make good money simply by following this piece of advice. Great post, thanks.

As a fairly new IMr it is easy to get lost in the details, especially the tech. kind. Also, since I love the tech. details I am one of those people that can get lost in it quite easily. Seeing this advice, even though obvious, helps to remind myself to keep it simple. Thank you!

I think that anyone who has been doing this for 2 years plus will forget the basics like target markets etc because there are some many exciting techy discoveries that overwhelm us.

I am one who is guilty of that and you tend to get into this seo zone and forget that there are just a few simple methods that can get you traffic if you identify your customers properly.

It is extremely important, and it's a concept that most beginners can't grasp. Even when they think they understand it, they really don't. It goes so much deeper than a lot of people think.

  • It comes down to 2 things. Traffic and conversions. The better your traffic, the easier it is to convert. So yes, hitting the right target is definitely one of the key factors to succeeding online.

tech stuff is easy, even for a total beginner... marketing plays the most important role, and one of the basics is to find the market that is actually interested in what you are selling... that's why one should concentrate to niches - targeted niches...

Why I can not see my sales in clickbank?

I’ve been trying to master an affiliate business on and off for almost two years. It started really working for me only recently, to be precise a few weeks ago. I had around eight conversions a day for 5 days, which I was quite happy about. However, to my disappointment, my conversions showed up only in Google Adwords. I could not see any of my sales in Clickbank. I know that Clickbank has lags, so I waited for a couple days to see if the sales would eventually show up, after couple of day I had only 4 sales out of 40 that I have in adwords. I have had the same Google and Clickbank accounts for almost two years and I never had this problem before. I got very excited that my website was finally getting conversions, but now the described issue came up and I am totally not sure where to look for solutions. I checked everything I could think of but nothing helped. I thought that I might be having two conversion codes installed on my thank you page, but I made sure that this was the case. Any ideas on this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Although I've not done CB marketing for sometime now I'd say it's "possible" sales are being stolen from you from CB and or the venders.

Search threads about this..you'll see this topic.

Congrats on your sales..that's a good thing! I'd surely find similar products your getting sales for and promote those INSTEAD of CB ASAP so you can verify exactly what's happening.

      Consider promoting some WSO products.
