Hi guys,

I just thought I would share this with you, I know alot of user know this so its not like I invented something lol

If you reached page one and you are not even getting near the traffic that you have seen on Google Keywords tool and want to know if you should keep working on the keyword or find a new one then you should follow the following steps

1) Go to Google webmaster tools and create an account ( it is a free tool provided by Google) , after you create an account go and verify your site , Google will tell you how to verify it

2) Create an xml sitemap and submit it, you need to wait few days until Google shows your search results or it actually might have them already.

3) Go to Your site on the web ( it is in the left menu) then go to search queries, this will show you the searches that have been made by the users and the impressions + your real rank

4) check the keyword that you are ranking for, First check what is the position you are ranking on and how many impressions listed for that keyword, impressions mean how many times your site was shown to people when they searched that keyword.

Here is the catch..

A) If you see good impressions and you know that you are ranking on the first page then there is an issue with your site description or title that makes the user click on something else or ignore your site

B) If you see few impressions then that means you picked the wrong keyword.. don't feel bad.. it happened to me alot of times but at least you won't waste your time and keep building links , just move on

Please read this carefully to know if your site is banned or no

1) Go to Google webmaster tools and create an account ( it is a free tool provided by Google) , after you create an account go and verify your site , Google will tell you how to verify it

2) Create an xml sitemap and submit it

3) Go to site configuration then to crawl access, at that page you will see the last time Google visited your site, you might find an old date as Google took your site from the index since it was parked , I noticed they started to do this last week

4) at the same option ( crawl access) you will see this link in the middle hxxp://yourwebsite.com/robots.txt ( I have replaced the tt with xx so it will be http on there, click that link and see what you get, your robots file might be blocking google from accessing the website

5) if you don't have a robots.txt file , create one and refer to The Web Robots Pages , please read this carefully to understand whats going on and what should you use

Thanks

Zaco.

Just type into Google site:domain.com and if there are no listings, your site has never been found or you have been banned.

That site:domain.com is the main issue.. its the reason why I see alot of users panicking

      1) if the site doesn't show in Google they think it is banned, which is not true since it might be not indexed, especially recently Google is taking out sites with Parked pages

      2) The users need to know when was the last time Google crawled their sites or if Google ever visited their site, and by knowing then they can know if they are banned or no for sure

Alot of users won't know the reason if their site is blocked by the robots file too..

      Thanks
