How do you Use Blogs to drive Traffic?

I have thrown up some free blogger blogs with some adsense, in various topics. I think of them as sites - and do not see how they can be used as ways to get traffic to another site.

Fill them with excellent value, focused content which you add to on a consistent, regular schedule. That's what blogs are for, and what Google expects to see.

Go for and use call to action statements while anchoring the link of your website with in the blog posts, that helps in diverting traffic on to your website from blogs the most....

It's all about content if you're talking about blogs. The more value and content you have, the more people will be visiting your blog. As for traffic, Post with a minimum of 3x a week. Make sure it has value. Also, it would be good to do some seo. That will be bringing automated traffic for you and sometimes sales.

Another good thing to do is to develop a strong social media presence. Make sure you share your content there but don't spam. Have a fan page as well with your blog on the fan page tab.

if those sites are getting a decent amount of traffic, you should be able to get a small % of it by posting valuable informations there, and point it back to your site.

Write everyday to your blog and ping the search engine services (pingomatic.com). Make your content at least 400 words long. Submit your blog to the blog directories. Submit your blog's RSS feed to the RSS directories. Connect it with Feedburner, and have your blog posts automatically be posted to Twitter. From there, connect Facebook with Twitter so that your Twitter messages get automatically sent to Facebook.
